   This was my first visit and very impressed. Alex our waiter for the evening was outstanding, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. I ordered the venison, bacon, and pickled onion home pie with vegetables which was nicely presented. plenty and delicious, followed by a fantastic cheeseboard with grapes and chutney. It was great to dine at a restaurant where nothing seemed microwaved. Great choice on the menu. Look forward to going back and certainly will. Highly recommended.

   Lovely place. Only 2 minutes drive from my office in Twyford, so I decided to meet up with my boyfriend and our Alsatian for lunch. The people working there are lovely and the food is delicious. I especially love the decorations in the outdoor seating area - beautiful flowers everywhere + plenty of parking spaces

   We had a great experience at the Horse and Groom in Hares Hatch. The food was excellent – fresh, well-prepared, and good value, considering the location. Sitting in the garden on a winter’s evening was lovely, with a relaxed atmosphere. The only downside was the service, which was a little slow and inattentive, particularly given it was a quieter Thursday evening. That said, it wouldn’t put me off returning. Overall, I’d definitely recommend a visit if you’re in the local area – it’s a great spot for a good meal in a charming setting.

   Unusually diverse menu at this delightful country pub with lots of lovely wood panelling and solid tables. Welcoming fire burning, friendly greeting. Tasty Sweet potato & coconut soup, char Sui pork and noodle soup followed by crispy beef salad and pork belly with watermelon, pak choy, snap pea salad and proper crunchy pork skin garnish. Nice amount of beef on salad. I tried the chocolate posset with pistachio ice cream and found it as good as expected. Nice meal, friendly staff, lovely pub with rear terrace and front garden tables. Good selection of cask ales and fair prices. Safe bet.

   Really enjoyed my meal here and got to sit by an open fire. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and I’ve always really enjoyed the food. Had beef cheek then pork belly and ice cream and enjoyed it all. Veg is cooked really well and pork belly was delicious. Thanks for a great meal

   Beautiful food, great service and a really welcoming atmosphere. I love all the signs about local spirits and spirits of the week. Dog-friendly too! Group dog walks are also advertised. Highly recommend.

   I’ve been here more than once. The staff are friendly and service is good and fast. The environment in the pub is quite nice. Plenty of parking outside. The food is pretty good. I only knock a star off because my food isn’t always great. Not bad, just not 5 star. Definitely worth a visit for a good pub meal though.

   Really friendly staff, superb food on the menu, the Carrot and Orange soupnwas devine and the Steak Burger was just so nice... It's a really nice characteristic place to have a meal, will be going back again soon!
