   What a beautiful hotel. Staff were amazing and went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic stay. Thank you for ensuring our 20th anniversary was amazing. I would definitely be coming back. The food was amazing. There was nothing I could fault with this charming grade 2 listed building.

   The bed was rubbish. It was a very nice room very clean BUT the bed was old I sat on it and the springs was poking and when I got in it I slept for about two hours the floor carpet would of been better. The shower was ok downside it had a eco button do not press it! It was like boiling water coming out and I got burnt on my arm. Luck I have a beer belly lol

   Absolutely incredible place we had to return too after a lovely visit last year. We didn’t stay in the rooms so cant comment there but we came here for dinner with our two year old to end our bank holiday beach day and the two people who served us went above and beyond. Even off the back of a very busy weekend they were super friendly, attentive and welcoming. They engaged with our toddler in such an amazing way and she had a fantastic time too! Finding her an ice lolly and sorting a desert for her when they didn’t think they would have anything she could have (she can’t have dairy) was more than we could have asked for. I manage a restaurants myself and have spent a lot of time training and working with hospitality staff and these guys provided us with the most perfect service. The food was incredible we had the mixed kebab skewer (I think it was called), kids sausages and the ham egg and chips. Absolutely beautiful. The birds in the beer garden made for a wonderful little addition too. We shall definitely come back here and recommend it to family who live hear by. Thank you :)

   Stayed for two nights to attend a funeral. Room was lovely and clean, had everything we needed. Staff were friendly, polite and went over and above. Breakfast was lovely good choice, freshly cooked and hot. Garden was well maintained and pleasant to sit in. Centrally placed to visit the New Forest. Would highly recommend...

   Sunday lunch here today was fabulous. We didn’t have a booking they seated us no problem for a late lunch and our dogs were very welcome too. Good selection of ales, nice to have a choice of food not just roast suited us all and everything was great. We will visit again

   Just had an overnight stay. As others say, all the staff are friendly and helpful. We had a lovely standard room with a fabulous walk in shower. Extremely clean. Great food and terrific breakfast. Well done The Stag we will certainly call again when in the area.

   Ate here last Sunday evening, standard chain pub sort of place mostly worth 2 stars. Service by disinterested teenagers, decor corporate pub design v4, beer Green King uninteresting - though I did like the Neck Oil. Got the extra star because the food was unusually good. Goulash pie sounded like leftovers but v tasty and fish & chips lovely.

   My family and I stayed at The Stag in June this year and there is nothing more to say than, when you are here, you are home. Steve, Maria and the rest of The Stags staff all make you feel like you are part of the family when you are here. The Stag is fit for royalty. The food is top notch and the drinks are great. Can’t wait to visit again. Unfortunately, google only allows me five stars or I would rate it higher.

   Delicious food. Happy and helpful staff. Lovely big beer garden - with aviary and chicken coup! Good selection of drinks. Food isn't cheap, but is a fair price for the serving. And the children's meals were massive. The kids loved that!
