First time visiting for a Sunday lunch after much recommendation. Absolutely worth every bit of praise! Beautiful building set by the river Pang, service was lovely, food was incredible and very home made, every comfort of Sunday roasts of old.

I was first introduced to this pub by a friend in September this year. It’s a lovely place with a beautiful garden, so I decided to return and bring another friend along. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by the landlord’s behaviour. He was extremely rude to us. We politely asked if our table could be wiped as it felt sticky. Instead of simply cleaning it, he ran his palms over the entire surface and said he didn’t think it needed wiping, but would do it anyway. We were shocked by both his unfriendly and unhygienic behaviour, which made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. It was clear he didn’t believe us, and the way he handled the situation was completely unnecessary. Such a shame, as every other staff member I’ve met there has been absolutely lovely.

A great marker is the pub dog and the cross keys has the beautiful and calm blue and very friendly boy. We only popped in for a couple of drinks, however sitting in the cozy bar next to the kitchen, the smells and sights coming out soon had our tummies rumbling, so a pint of Level head, one of the cheapest I've had and a dry white was accompanied by a delicious battered fish and chips. Landlord while rushed off his feet had time to chat along with friendly locals. If nothing go for a level head and a chat and a pat with Blue

Food was tasty but won’t return. They refused to sell 125ml glass of wine “ oh we don’t sell small glasses”. This is against uk licensing laws. Also these days it’s not enough to just say “ask about dietary/ allergen requirements . Label the menu!

Popped in for a sandwich lunch, after a long walk. Despite being a Sunday, when people are usual looking Sunday lunch, these guys still doing their knockout sandwiches for which they are notable. Its a super little pub, with an amazing collection of house plants, and a little riverside garden. Give them a go. Its charming!

Popped in for a couple of drinks before a wedding reception across the road. Lovely pub, staff very friendly. The garden is beautiful, looks like a lot of work has gone into it.

Came in for steak lunch and thoroughly enjoyed. From the staff, to the food, to the location and setting the Cross Keys is nothing short of gorgeous! Barmaid Carmen helped me lots and was a lovely happy face to see when you come into the pub. Jesse and David were personable and fun as always. 10/10 will definitely come back

Having spent the day Cycling from Seend in Wiltshire to the Pangbourne Memorial to pay our respects, an evening in the Cross Keys was just what was needed to replen the fluid, and eats. The staff were fantastic and the food even better. What a truly welcoming establishment and one I thourghly recomend.
