Outward appearance may not be the best but you but I challenge you to find a better Chow Mein in Southampton
Never had an issue, food is nice and arrives very fast, fresh and piping hot. Been ordering from them for years and will continue to do so
Quick and easy with delicious hot food and free prawn crackers! Cant go wrong with chicken balls and beef chow mein though! Just the right amount of friendly.
Staff have always been very unwelcoming and abrupt, they don’t bother to talk to you and can’t wait for you to leave the premises. My friends have also said they’ve always been treated fairly unpleasantly when ordering from here. No bother in paying attention to when they say they’re open either as they don’t pick up the phone when they’re open and shut early most nights, just completely unreliable. Food is mediocre at best. Also had an experience here where a friend of mine went into an absent seizure as we were waiting for our food, happened to be just before they were closing as well. They had no interest in our friend and barely said a word about it and just stared. Were quick to usher us out and lock up as soon as the ambulance arrived. One of the most unfriendly Chinese takeaway places I’ve ever experienced.
The service was appalling. I had to wait for the lady to do what ever it was she was doing before taking my order. Once I ordered I said I’ll wait right outside. I proceeded out and stood right next to the door. 25 minutes later i re-entered and asked where my food was. The lady picked it up from the counter and asked where I was! I could not believe this and said, as mentioned already I was waiting outside the door. Her response to my comment astonished me. She said she could not see me. Now maybe I could believe this if I was not wearing a bright yellow cycle helmet and light catching jacket, but I was. I took my food and no apology was given from this take away. My food ended up being cold and unenjoyable. Be aware the staff seem to have eye sight problems.
I've ordered the vegetable chow mein a few times now and absolutely love it! Good value for money and good sized portions. 5 stars, a happy customer here:)
Most blandest grossest Chinese ever. I mean it was hot, which is more than I can say for the mood/service/attitude from the server. Carrots still totally raw, Hong Kong chicken literally soggy batter in a funky coloured tasteless sauce. Honestly binned the lot. Don't waste your time
