Bought a really comfy pair of sandals this morning from this shop. I cannot say enough how impressed I am by the customer service. I would 100% recommend this shop. Really happy with the service and the quality of the footwear.
Went in today with my daughter to buy her first shoes now she’s more established with walking. The service was brilliant! Really friendly, kind and helpful sales staff that gave honest advice. Not pushy and a relaxed environment. Would highly recommend and will be going there for future shoes.
The owners go above and beyond to provide excellent service. Arrived at the shop at 9:35 to find they didn't open until 10:00 as it was Easter Bank Holiday. Just as I was explaining this to my 93 year old mother the owners appeared and insisted on opening the shop early to accommodate her. The exact shoes for her needs were promptly purchased and we had one very happy lady. Many Thanks indeed, shopping locally with independents certainly has it's benefits
Purchased a pair of shoes today, after trying on several pairs to find the best fit. Sam, could not have been more helpful and patient, suggesting half insoles and even some leather stretching spray for shoes at home that I cannot wear. Matthews customer service is excellent and they have a great range of shoes.
I went in on Friday 11 August 2023 during a busy time and was served by Guy. I cannot praise him enough! I have problem feet and he went to every effort to get the right fit and style for my needs. We found the pair eventually and I am very happy with them. I urge everyone to use your independent businesses, I could NOT have purchased online from a chain with such problematic feet!
Wow some of the most patient people I have every met . Nothing was too much trouble . As someone with arthritis in her knees and ankles and metal pins in my feet comfy and supportive shoes are hard to find. .No more struggling on line . This is my go to shop for shoes .
Always very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff with a great range of different styles which are great quality. Yes, some are more expensive however you get great quality which means they last well, look great and more importantly great for your feet.

Great shoes! So many beautiful leather models, took a long time to decide which one to get. Staff - very nice, very helpful, showed me all I wanted, even phoned another branch to see if they could get my size as it's very small :)) As soon as I tried my favorite pair, I couldn't take them off, I actually left wearing them, so nice and comfy, I know they were a great buy and I'll be wearing them all winter long! 5 stars!
