   We walked in the shop and were greeted by a friendly assistant she help me to find the shoes I was looking for, when I got to the till another assistant rang up my purchase and asked me if I wanted to have a protective coating on the shoes it didn't cost much extra it took only a couple of minutes so I said yes.

   Pavers sell some good shoes and some that won't even la's a couple of months. I purchased a pair of mens shoes called Authentic Jeans. Not a bad looking shoe despite being all plastic. I purchased them at the end of April wearing them occasionally and then May and June a little more often but not daily. The hollow thin rubber heals punctured on both shoes. They were £30+ which for the time they last makes it expensive shoe wearing.

   It would be absolutely impossible for me to adequately describe how impressed I was with the welcome we received and with the helpfulness and patience of the staff! I needed to urgently find a suitable pair of slippers for my 97-year-old mother at the request of her local nursing home. While my mum waited with my wife in nearby Morrison's car park, I popped in to assess how suitable this shop would be. I received a really, really warm welcome from interested and engaged staff. By the time I had returned with Mum and my wife, a chair was ready and also a line-up of slippers for Mum to try on. No-one could have been kinder and more patient. Mum, who has dementia, soaked up all of the attention and left the shop with a huge smile on her face! Well done, everyone!!

   I've been using this excellent store ever since I moved to Belper two decades ago. All Pavers shoes are superb value, and just about all of them very well made and long lasting. Excellent service too. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else now, and feel very fortunate to have such a great facility on my doorstep.
