Lovely cafe set next to a small lake, beautiful views. Love the toy/board games available. Cozy feel inside and good seating outside. Despite being a spot by a lake with outdoor seating would still recommend in winter as they offer nice warm soups for lunch. Nice cheesy chips. Friendly owners and staff

What a lovely place to enjoy breakfast with a view. Spotlessly clean, tasty and well cooked food. Well worth a visit.

This was a nice find on sunday afternoon. Didn't realize it was so close to Maidenhead! The cappuccino was amazing and so was the hot chocolate. The people were so nice, smiling and warm while serving the food. The view was lovely with flight take off every few mins and also train passing by. Would love to visit again sometime soon

Lovely little cafe with large terrace with seating by the lake. Menu is simple, but the range not too limited and the food tasty and service good.

I feel like I’ve come to the party late but now want to keep coming back…so I’ve been here x3 in as many weeks and already got a date in the diary to come back next week. Down a little lane that looks like you’re going nowhere then turn left and boom…the beautiful, unspoilt Taplow lake. Not only stunning views from the car park but also from every angle in the outdoor decked cafe. Coffees are wonderful and a really good size, cakes are delicious and the brunch is super. Fresh ingredients, well put together. The service on all three visits has been exceptional. Attentive, friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the menu. It has a great Scandinavian feel sitting on the deck, with nice food, looking over a lake surrounded by trees watching the wildlife and kayakers and paddle boarders. What’s not to like?!

What a view to kick back and relax to! Wonderful selection of teas and food items. I sipped on the white tea that was beautifully presented and very delicate. I had the pea soup - was a little disappointing as it wasn’t enhanced by other seasoning - felt very much like a bowl of blended peas! But nonetheless I would come back for the exceptional location and the delightful teas (and to try some other food!)

Love this place! First went after a run in the snow, and they had a roaring fire, which was great for warming up. Soup of the day was excellent. Since then I've gone after swimming in the lake. Staff are really friendly, always a warm welcome, and they don't even seem to mind that I drip lake water in with me when I come.

5 stars local breakfast in the middle of nowhere. Surprised Lake House was opened early in the morning. Quiet place, amazing staff and good food. Definitely will come again when drop my BMW with Sytner Maidenhead.

Found this family run business by accident while out cycling, was only going to stop for a coffee but after seeing the food on the other customers plate I ended up having a full breakfast. Plentiful and well cooked. I mean it wasn’t ‘over’ cooked. Staff was friendly and helpful. You can sit inside the cafe or out on the decking over looking the lake. I’ll be stopping there again on my cycling trips in the near future.

I honestly can't fault this place. On the lakefront, a sunny day; fantastic. The food is very good and good value. The paninis were crisp on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. I had the cheddar, mozzarella and ham. My partner had Portobello mushroom with cheese and spinach. Both were tasty and the side salad was good. We also shared the rustic cheesy chips. I have to say this is where the cafe shone - they were absolutely delicious and I would return just for them or the chips on their own, for that matter. The chips are so crisp and delicious. I hope this helps some people if they are thinking about visiting. My advice is go, if just for the chips!
