Great place to get in pre-drinks before the club or a light night of drinking on a budget. Orders arrived quickly and the atmosphere was decent. The food is at the usual weatherapoons standard and the drinks are lovely and cheap. Would highly recommend to any students.

It's wetherspoons! You know what you're getting here. Average food at a good price with a decent beer selection. The staff here are fantastic though, they make it. Fast and effective with a little personalized touch. It's nice when people remember your favorite drink or usual order and these guys make that effort.

What can I say, it’s a Spoons, great prices for drinks, Doombar was £2.25 or something like that, service was good and swift. It’s a popular place at the top of town, pretty busy with young and old, busied up in the early evening, we dropped in at 4 and then again at 6 on the way to another venue. A lot of glasses ready to go lol as you can see in the pictures!

Was visiting Reading for a week and stumbled upon this pub, loved this pub, great vibe and diverse crowd. Went 2 days in a row on a Monday/Tuesday evening, surprisingly it was busy but still lots of seating to choose from. Great selection of beers and food is delicious, fish and chips was bang on. There's even slot machines in the pub tried my luck at. Definitely will return next time in Reading.

Review of Hope Tap, Reading On a sudden whim one Friday evening, I decided to join my friends at Hope Tap in Reading and I’m glad I did. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere was on a completely different level. The place was buzzing with energy, full of a young and lively crowd that really brought the pub to life. It can be quite hard to snag a seat given how popular it is, but trust me, it’s well worth the wait. Once settled, we found the drinks to be very reasonably priced, especially compared to other pubs in Reading that often charge a small fortune. Despite how packed it was, the vibe remained friendly and relaxed. Everyone seemed to be there just to have a good time - no arguments or scuffles, just plenty of laughter and cheerful chatter. If you’re after a fun, affordable night out with a great crowd, Hope Tap should definitely be on your list. I’ll certainly be back.

To be honest - you get what you came for and that‘s pretty fair. Cheap barfood that is no way nutritious, but satisfy. You are not going to a 3 Star place. You only want to have a full stomach to deal with the amount of drinks served in pitchers.

Decent Wetherspoons. Lots of seating inside - has a small courtyard garden with seating too. Bar staff have always been friendly. Food is consistently good and always a nice pint. Well stocked bar - extremely rare for them not to have what they advertise. Wouldn’t say it’s a ‘family’ pub - more of an adult only feel to the place. Long hike up the stairs to the toilets but at least you can burn some calories!

Standard Wetherspoon. A few most popular beers and ales. Good price food

Usual Wetherspoons, well priced, same menu as everywhere. I love the chicken wraps which are my go-to when I want something quick, cheap and tasty. I had to wait for awhile until they brought my order though so I am going to give 4 stars.

Following a bit of an adventure trying to park, I arrived here on one of the hottest days of the year. Quite busy and an interesting depiction of the history of transportation in Reading. Small outdoor terrace
