I had an extremely disappointing and concerning experience at F1 Autocentres Reading on 17/12/2025 when having front tyres fitted. Before the appointment, I documented the condition of my wheels, including any existing marks. After the tyre fitting, I noticed new damage to one of the wheels that was not present beforehand. When I raised this with the staff member who carried out the fitting, he was uncooperative, dismissive, and refused to acknowledge the damage. The situation escalated unnecessarily, and during the interaction he was rude and physically aggressive, even pushing my brother, which is completely unacceptable and made the environment feel unsafe. Another member of staff later told me the issue would be followed up in 3 days, but no one contacted me. I was then told to return to the centre in person if I hadnβt heard back. Given the hostile and unsafe experience, I am not willing to return. I have clear photo and video evidence, including before-and-after documentation showing the new damage. Despite this, there has been no accountability or proper communication from the centre. This experience reflects poor workmanship, lack of professionalism, and unacceptable staff behaviour. I would strongly caution others before using this branch.

AVOID. I strongly advise lone women to avoid this centre. The intimidation is unacceptable. They broke the manual door lock during the MOT. At pickup, I had a general chat with the reception staff member, Billy(?), where I mentioned Iβd owned the car for 6 years and it was a good runner. Later, when he admitted he couldn't lock the car, I mentioned the lock could be a bit of a pain - specifically meaning there is a knack to getting the key in the right way round or at the right depth - not that the mechanism itself was broken. When I phoned back to report that the lock was actually physically broken, he weaponised those previous conversations. He took my earlier comment about owning the car for 6 years and twisted it with my comment about the "knack" of the key to claim I told him "the lock has been broken for 6 years." This was a calculated lie to avoid liability. He then resorted to intimidation, claiming he had audio recordings of me in reception to "prove" I was lying. I have left a voicemail on the number for the Area Manager I was given, but have been ignored. Avoid this garage.

highly highly recommend. Every time i have been in, i have been met with kindness, incredible help and expertise. As a woman it is really hard to find a trustworthy mechanic but these wonderful men have shown me otherwise. exceptional customer service from terry and colleagues. will always come back here. They truly care about the customers and you can tell and the quality of work is perfect.

Both my wife and I use F1 Autocentres in Reading for all of our servicing and repair needs, and theyβve been consistently excellent. The staff are always friendly and approachable, and the branch manager in particular goes above and beyond to help. Prices are great value without compromising on quality β the workmanship is genuinely main-dealer standard. Itβs rare to find a garage you can trust completely, but F1 Autocentres has earned that trust every time. Highly recommended!

TL;DR- Avoid. Car damaged in their possession, they admitted liability and now being ignored. I have been using these guys for years and always pleased with the service. Sadly in March my car was damaged in their possession. They admitted liability but 1 month later still refusing to fully repair it. Legal action in progress. Nice guys in the branch and accidents happen but unfortunately would not recommend as head office are not dealing with it how I wouldβve hoped.

Booked an MOT online for a BMW X5 which they couldn't complete because their MOT ramp is too small. You would think that a company like this would have invested in a decent MOT ramp!
