   This was my first visit in years to Mettricks Woolston. The place itself is nice and appealing, what wasn't appealing was the cost of food. I ordered the Mett sandwich which is breaded chicken with bacon, lettuce, tomato on sourdough bread with rocket on the side. No fries, you have to order these in addition, and a lemonade. All for £19 during lunchtime. It's infuriating to constantly hear businesses moan about inflation etc when they are dont offer cost effective meals. Would it really be outrageous to include fries with the burger/sandwich.

   So happy it’s open again! My favourite place in Southampton. Delicious food, lush coffee and great selection of fresh bakes. Love the layout, can either sit at the table for brunch or sit on the sofas for a morning coffee. Staff are really friendly with fast service too ❤️

   Very nice breakfast. Coffee is really good. (Flat white with coconut milk and americano). Avocado eggs were perfect. Full English breakfast is a bit too salty. Carrot cake is delicious. Overall atmosphere is cosy, spacious room, pets are welcome here. They also have tables outside. There is only one person serving - takes orders at the bar, serves dishes and pours beverages. I would expect at least two, especially in busy morning hours.

   Food was amazing! I had the fried chicken breakfast wrap, really different and delicious! The service is a bit odd though, counter service which means ordering and paying whenever you do, we sat around for a good hour after finishing with no plates cleared as to be honest could have had another drink each but with a dog and baby it was a bit awkward to go to the counter to order.

   A beautiful place to go for a family friendly breakfast or a business meeting. The food ranges and varieties for vegans are brilliant. The staff are always extremely friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to help. Parking is located beneath Mettricks and is 2 hours free parking.

   Lovely venue for a bite to eat or a lovely coffee. I have visited a few times now at different times of day. The coffee was lovely on my last visit, coupled with a brownie. This one is card only, which usually wouldn't bother me but on this occasion I had change so seemed a bit daft putting such a small amount on a card.

   If you are not white do not go here , this establishment made it very clear for me and my partner that people like us where not welcome there , we ordered our food around 12:15 midday and they was a small baby shower taking place next to us , which made the atmosphere much busier this was our first time here since my patterned wanted to go there for her birthday breakfast but we watched people get their food before us even people that had just arrived where getting served before us and it’s only after an hour the waitress came and lied to us and told us the reason why we haven’t received our food was because they had to serve the baby shower first but in reality we watched normal customers get their food first even a table next to was that seated 4 women got their food first and we where told to wait until they have served everyone else ,after hearing this we requested a refund and headed to a traditional Turkish cafe which was exquisite and the service was fast and polite and we were treat equally. I will be sending this to online journalists as I don’t want anyone of Color to experience what we experienced from this establishment.

   Great cappuccino with oat milk and hot dark chocolate. Nice spacious room, so there is a lot of space between tables. There is also a big outdoor sitting space . The food took 30 min, but the avo toast and the full English breakfast were really nice. The avo toast was quite spicy , lots of chilly flakes.

   It was a good experience because the of the value, taste and location but I won’t give 5 stars because sofas and carpet didn’t seem clean to me. A beautiful place like this at such important location must be clean and sparkling all the time. Interior requires more decoration and of course, cleanliness. I could be happier with a little more warm welcome but it’s okay as there’s no such thing as perfection. Took photos of menu for reference as it may help others.
