   Halfords Autocentre Farnborough, Prepaid online booking. While on my way, I received a voicemail saying they were short of mechanics. On arrival I was then told different stories, first short of mechanics, then they took my keys, then refused the car claiming “something was wrong with it.” Like people wake up on a sunny day and visit their mechanics out of happiness. It was clearly overbooked, but instead of being honest, staff changed their story and were rude. Completely unprofessional. I guess working for a big company gives people power to refuse jobs as they wish.

   Highly recommend. The staff were helpful, friendly, took time to explain what was needed and took the time to answer the questions I had. They accommodated the times I needed to drop the car off and helped when I had to change a subsequent date. Definitely felt I could trust their judgement re the car.

   Quick and really easy to book online for my MOT with a discount for signing up for their motoring club. Dropped off the keys, they said come back in an hour so I went to the Dunelm opposite to have breakfast in the café and a mooch around while I waited. Car was ready to go with no issues an hour later. I like that they give you a time frame and everybody I (briefly) encountered seemed very friendly. I will come back next year.

   I've been with the auto club for years and over a year ago I changed car, I changed my details with the club and have had work done on my new car twice. A couple of weeks ago I booked an M.o.T. and full service. That's when the problems began. I started to receive text reminders but with my old car details. I rang four times and was assured it was changed. The night before I called the garage and the man said "yeah, we spoke last week, ive changed it ". Dropped my car off 09:00, received a call 15:00 from the same individual as the night before, "ive only just ordered the parts, as I had the parts for your old car, sorry my fault". I this what Halfords consider customer service?

   Not the best experience unfortunately. They called me at 1657 to say my car is read for collection. I asked the guy what time do you close says 1800. I started walking form office at 1730 got there at 1745… they guy says last collection was 1730. So I told him you mate said 1800.. he basically hugged and puffed but I got my car. When I got home they didn’t even fill in the service book!

   Had a clunk noise on the front side of my car and couldn't diagnose what was wrong myself. Rang Halfords and they had a spare spot, came down the same day. The mechanic test drove and knew right away what was wrong, then raised up the car and brought me under to show me what was wrong and showed what was wobbling by pulling on the linkage. Replaced it in under an hour, fair prices, really good service provided.

   Took my car for MOT and service and and cannot fault the customer service from these guys. My car needed a part from Vauxhall who do not open on a Saturday but they were on it first thing Monday morning and the car was ready in the early afternoon. I was kept informed at every stage while my car was with them. Fantastic service and a special mention for Nathan who went above and beyond. Will definitely be using Halfords in the future.

   Five star, efficient and friendly service! I called in without an appointment as my headlight bulb blew and needed replacing. I spoke to Steve who although was extremely busy he spared a few minutes to quickly replace the headlight bulb with no fuss.
