Beautiful quaint country pub, lovely garden, clean, tidy modern rooms with plenty of character. Freshly cooked to order food using local ingredients where possible, lots of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Catering for all allergies and intolerances. Overall a lovely experience with wonderful friendly staff.

I had dinner at the Dolphin on Saturday, and three days later I’m still thinking about it! One of the best pub meals I’ve had in years. I had the pie of the day, which was chicken and leek, with mash and seasonal greens, and I couldn’t fault any of it. Absolutely delicious!

Beautiful setting for lunch on a lovely summer's day. The meal was excellent and the service quick and unobtrusive. It was a bit pricey or I'd have given it 5 stars.

Stayed here for one night. Staff were all very friendly, approachable and polite. The apartment was clean, tidy and spacious. The food was amazingly good and catered for my 5 year old son when he asked for fish fingers and nuggets. We would definitely stay here again when we're next over this way.

Came for a birthday meal for my partner and his family. We had been here a few times previously. Joe was our server and he had excellent customer service skills - quick service and very friendly and chatty. Lovely atmosphere at the pub and lovely area. However, when I’ve previously come - the fries used to be skinnier and served in a mini chip basket which looked cute and personally preferred the skinnier chips. The chips are the only thing I would change, other than that - lovely!

On Saturday it was extremely busy, word about the excellent food and drink has clearly spread, so many five star reviews! Despite all the tables being occupied by diners, the staff were unjustly attentive and made great efforts to ensure we were well serviced. Many thank yous, particularly to Foxy Charlie, for making it such an enjoyable, unforgettable experience.

Good vibes. Nice people. Great staff. Bit pricey. Would have preferred a Spanish lager for the prices. Kitty, one of the two lovely bar staff that night, was fantastic with all the clients. Both staff always keeping busy and attentive. Slight shame that the chef wasn't available that night. 10/10 just for the staff and atmosphere.

What a lovely dog friendly pub! Eaten there a few times now, pop in for the occasional couple of pints after walking the dogs around IBM estate, definitely worth a look if not walked it before. Staff are nice and friendly they make an effort to make you feel at home. After a cold wet walk sitting in front of a lovely open log fire is great to dry off! Gets a little busy Friday nights but has a great atmosphere, good to see a country pub doing well with friendly locals!

6/9/22 popped in for lunch while in the area. Lovely pub, great food and very friendly and welcoming staff. Would highly recommend. Owner said they'd only taken the pub over in May, wish them every success for the future. If we were local we would definitely make The Dolphin a regular place to frequent.
