Incredible all around. Only stayed for one night, but the rooms were impeccable. Great service and incredible land curry! They let me borrow their wall outlet to plug in my USB (huge lifesaver) since I forget my adapter at the last hotel. Definitely give them your business.

Came to Romsey to see mesmerising "Light Up Trail" which is 10 mins walk or 2 min drive from the pub. We stayed overnight at Dog & Crook and we had a great time! Comfy, super clean room, parking on site. The pub itself is a beautiful fusion of a traditional local pub and great Indian restaurant. The food was delicious, the best Indian food we've had in a long long time! Absolutely gorgeous! The owner/host was fantastic, took his time to show us his great white wine selection, so we could have a perfect evening drink, well appreciated, thank you! Big THANK YOU to a lovely gentleman who prepared a breakfast for us at 8:30am, many many thanks! Great experience!

We had the loveliest meal here!! Great service - very attentive and gave us great advice on different dishes. The food was amazing. Almost don’t want to give a good review in case it gets too popular and we can’t get a table. Will be definitely be coming back!!

What a find. Following a recommendation looking forward to Indian cuisine in a village not a town. Great place for a pint too.. Food was amazing.Varied dishes tried the fish curry ,would def recommend and the lamb curry too. Undecided on choices waiter/owner couldn’t have been more helpful to point us in the right direction all his recommendations were fantastic. Will def revisit. If you would like a great curry a good drink together with a quiz. Will def revisit this coming Tuesday. Thanks for a nice evening.

Were recommended the Dog and Crook by a customer of ours who had recently been their. Don't usually head Romsey direction, as we live New Forest. We booked a table for Saturday night. The indian food was delicious. Good size portions and excellent value for money, staff very friendly and courteous. We will definitely be going back there again to sample more dishes. Well worth the visit....

Shame as we have eaten here twice before and had super roasts. Today was not good. My husband had a steak pie & fries that was ok hence 2 stars I chose The Crook curry with chicken at extra cost. What arrived looked fine but was at best tepid, watery liquid with very little flavour or content Nan bread was dry cardboard, rice was fine. Even though hungry I ate only a small amount. I told the waitress and asked her to remove it from our bill. Upshot of that was a very rude women, manageress or owner telling me I should have returned the meal uneaten and should note this for the future. I pointed out that I had only eaten very little of it. She then had the nerve to suggest I went home and made something myself!! Note this for the future - you don’t have one for us.

We received a very warm welcome , the room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Woke this morning to a herd of deer just outside the window. The food was very well presented and super tasty and the barman/waiter had an excellent manner and was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The lady owner was very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely recommend this as a lovely place to stay .

Can't comment on their new accommodation as only popped in for a light lunch. What an improvement! The pub has been tastefully refurbished and it's now really nice, bright and airy with friendly staff. We both had a baguette which was very good. We had a look at their main menu - for future reference - and will be booking an evening meal here in the not too distant future. Would certainly recommend.
