we ordered a katsu chicken curry and were incredibly disappointed. it was barely a portion, for £10 we got a couple bits of chicken, a little rice and 5 or six chips. after that we asked for some more curry sauce as there was barely any on the very little amount of chicken and they tried charging us £2 for a tiny little pot of sauce. we ordered some drinks before that and they still somehow messed them up we asked for an lemonade and lime and got soda water and lime. we understood the slight misunderstanding but they acted like it was our fault when we wanted to change it.while we were leaving we also overheard some people saying how service was terrible and were barely at the counter.

We had Sunday lunch at The Malvern today, 4 people + 3 dogs. The roast was delicious and the staff behind the bar were lovely and very helpful. Thank you Sophie and Rachel for a wonderful meal.

We recently visited this place for a pub lunch and were extremely disappointed. The selection of meals was very limited, and we weren’t informed that the dishes would be served without any salad or vegetables. When we asked for a side salad, we were told, “It’s Monday and we’re short of many things.” We found this response unprofessional and disappointing — especially since no effort was made to offer an alternative or even a small discount for the inconvenience. Sadly, this experience has ensured it will be our last visit.

I didn't realise mash potato was in such a short supply until having Pie and mash here, it was also sort of squashed weirdly flat to make it look sort of bigger :-) Otherwise it was a nice and reasonable value, particularly if two of you are eating. Nice and polite staff too and spacious place to eat.

Been before but unfortunately won't be again. Long wait to be served by only 2 staff in a busy place seemed daft. Then lemonade had gone off, after taking a big gulp. Food arrived but my replacement drink forgotten. Had a couple of scampi to realise they were not cooked properly. Yes they were replaced, I checked all cooked before daring to eat them. Unfortunately been ill and sick this morning, suggesting food poisoning!

Ordered the Salt Beef & Beer Cheese sandwich and for £6.99 it's a steal of the day. Extra £2 you get a drink so couldn't fault it. Service was quick and of great standards. Manager is as friendly as you can get! Pub is clean, toilets are warm and everyone seems to be having a good time. If you're passing by, 100% recommend stopping in for some food.

Just endured one of the worst lunches I have ever had friends was burnt cold and very unacceptable. Chicken and ham pie. Mine was supposed to be mac and cheese with large salad no garlic bread. Got side size mac and cheese tiny salad garnish and garlic bread. Waited ages for it to come a had to chase. When I complained they were non plus. Awful

While waiting in the queue, 2 staff members continued to have a conversation about how another member of staff wasn't allowed to drink alcohol while only 1 of them was slowly serving. Finally, once it got to my turn, the waitress ignored me and went to serve someone who came in after me. After being ignored and the staff not bothered, I would not recommend this place.
