   What a wicked afternoon we have had with the bottomless brunch at Grumpy Monkey. First thing we loved was cocktails which were all made fresh. So rare with a bottomless. Normally it’s pre made and watered down. Izzy was amazing. Food was lush. Can’t go wrong with a burger and fries. Then just by chance it was music in the city which meant there was some amazing live music. Would defo go again.

   Came in for a little boogie and drinks with my girlies, cam b behind the bar was very welcoming and experienced in his drinks knowledge, he gave us the best service! They also do 2 for 1 cocktails which were amazing! Definitely recommend coming here for great cocktails and atmosphere :)

   So was recommended this place as being new to the area & I was not disappointed. The vibes the 2 4 1 cocktails are great & the service was second to none a young lad called Billy served me & his knowledge in helping me decide on my cocktail was spectacular pash & dash is what I went for & my gosh it was delicious so yeah I will be returning for sure

   went here on a night out and it was amazing!! vibes were so good, lovely staff. we were served by aimee and she was great. wasn’t sure on what to get and she so helpful with drink recommendations.loved the 241 cocktails, food was great and fast service.

   Been to Grumpy a few times and a couple of those times for family get togethers. Billy was very helpful & genuinely friendly with great customer service skills! (Give this guy a promotion!) was not waiting long at the bar each time and the place is a nice atmosphere. Thank you

   Went for post work drinks in to the evening. Music was so loud even bar staff couldn't hear you to take drink orders. Cocktails tasted a little synthetic but were good price and bogof so can't complain too much. It had a bit of a weird vibe though... Lot of men in tracksuits which was odd for a city bar like this on a Fri night. It does a lot of sport and I really like the TV at the table but also tries to be a lively bar with music and cocktails etc.

   Would not recommend visiting this place if you want to watch the football and have a good time, your night will be ruined by the unnecessary aggressive nature of the security staff. For no reason they surrounded us and then made us leave establishment through the back door whilst pushing one girl down the stairs. Totally unacceptable behaviour in the use of force they used which shouldn’t be allowed especially as none of us had done anything wrong.

   Unfortunately the door staff let down the actual staff that work here. Went in to watch the England World Cup game, sat down at a table and had a drink for half an hour or so until about 30 minutes before the game, for a member of the door staff (tattoos all up his neck - no idea of name) came and told us the table was reserved - my partner questioned him and said there was no reserved marking on the table, whereas most of the other tables had these. His reply was an aggressive ‘the reserved list is for me to know, not you’ and made us move. Completely his fault for not doing his job properly, and left us trying to find a seat at another pub 30 mins before kick off which didn’t happen obviously. Certainly would not return, would avoid this place if your looking to watch the football.

   James and the team at Grumpy Monkey are super helpful and very efficient. Was due to hold at event at venue nearby this evening which closed unexpectedly, spoke to James and he bent over backwards to accommodate our 70 guests for drinks reception and buffet. Thank you so much you made our night and saved our event. We will be back again for Christmas party and other future events. Great venue, fab food and fantastic staff
