A real surprise, we went to the flower pot to see Stripe an REM tribute band in December. The pub was full and a great atmosphere. Beer prices very reasonable and service very good. Multi story car oark next door very convenient. Overall highly recommend.

Here to see a tribute act & decided to stay at the same place. The room was on the top floor so loads of steps. The room was a good size. The TV was a smart one & a good size. The electric shower wasn't the best. The bed was comfy & a king size.

Absolute gem of a place. Such friendly and helpful staff. Great location for visiting the city and for attending the live music they host there. Rooms are welcoming, well equipped, beds are comfortable and the shower room a good size.

Nice pub, great service at the bar. We got there late and wanted to see the last 30 mins of the band. To be told it would cost £18 was a joke. Nobody else went in afterwards. Wouldn’t it be better for a couple of punters to go in, buy a few pints and embrace the music. Nice middle aged pub though

The Flowerpot is one of Derby’s gems. Fantastic live music in an intimate setting, with great sound and atmosphere every single night. The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the service is always quick despite how busy it gets. A brilliant range of beers on tap, plus good value for money. The crowd is lively but respectful, creating a great vibe whether you’re here for a gig or just a pint. Consistently an excellent night out – easily one of the best venues in Derby. I really hope they’ll consider creating more opportunities for private functions here as I can think of no better place to host a special occasion.

Enjoyed seeing These Wicked Rivers band there last night. Drinks were little pricey at Over £5 for a pint of beer, & £ 2.40 for a bottle of Orange. The venue was good, & the lounge was clean & ok, with enough bar staff serving.

We love this pub/ venue. Warm friendly staff. The curry nights are great, the food is top quality, never had a bad meal on those nights. Good selection of beers.friendly atmosphere. Watched some great groups here and reasonably priced too

  2. Drunken Duck Promotions ★★★☆☆

If I could give 3.5 stars here I would. Compact venue in back room of pub with view obstructed by supporting beams. It's a friendly vibe but again I didn't drink due to the crazy prices music venues charge for alcohol. (Or is that pubs in general) Venue is right in the heart of Derby centre so street parking is minimal so get on the cathedral for £2 just a short walk away. No complaints about sound or lighting bit it does get warm with a big crowd. Chas & Dave once played here so all good.

I stayed here recently and two of the things I require in an overnight stay are a decent bed and shower . The bed was lumpy and uneven and the pillows were wafer thin. After a long and comfortable night I couldn’t seem to get an even temperature on the Very slow shower , I was either scalding myself or freezing to death …, this could have been my fault however . The staff were faultless , room was spotless and there were lots of nice touches and a thoughtful continental breakfast in the kitchenette . Great idea ! had a drink in the pub , it’s a great venue . Unfortunately I probably wouldn’t stay here again due to the awful night I had and shower . It’s a shame as I would rather stay there than a bland generic hotel .
