   Won't be going back to hews grey on Alfreton Rd, Derby. again with my money... over £2.50. Prices seem to depend on who you see and whether your face fits. Gave me a bag of sand one day for £39 plus vat per bag and the next day decide its £42.50... same story for the cement. Its the usual tricks and im tired of playing these silly games. Thank you Hews Grey.

   Complete waste of time, will not deliver down a private drive because the driver can't be bothered and the managers won't make him. wasted time and money waiting for over a week for the delivery and got back the worst customer service, Do not use!

   Beware! Always get quotes in writing. I had been dealing with another branch of Huws Gray for some material, but needed delivery from Derby. The other branch had already quoted for 5 tons of sand and some blocks with delivery from Derby, but when I called the Derby branch they claimed they couldn't find the quote reference. They generated another quote for the same materials, which was almost exactly the same. They delivered whilst I was away. When I checked what had been delivered there were 4 tons of sand missing. When I called the Derby branch to query this, they told me that all that had been quoted / ordered was 1 ton of sand. As I didn't have anything except the original quote from the other branch in writing I didn't have a leg to stand on. Beware, these guys are a bunch of cowboys.
