Had a really nice stay the night before cruise. Rooms were spacious and beds were very comfy. Walk from here to ocean terminal takes about 15-20 minutes and the train station isn't too long of a walk either Would recommend to anyone for a hotel for the night before a cruise :)

A sleepless night at the Moxy. I echo a many reviews complaining about the stifling temperature of the rooms. They refuse to allow you to cool the room in winter after itβs been heated to 25 degrees by whoever was in there before, and it does not cool down overnight as you are not allowed to turn on the AC or to open the window more than a crack in case you jump out of it. Instead you are given a noisy fan and advised to sleep with the window open so you can hear all the street noise in a central city location. Recommend the premier inn next door which has working heating and cooling that as a paying guest you are permitted to use as you wish year round. Avoid!

Hotel is well located in the centre of Southampton with easy access to West Quay shopping centre, the train station and docks. Staff were friendly and reception / bar & lounge area are well laid out and nicely decorated. Room itself was well laid out, clean, modern and bed was very comfortable. Main issue with the room, was that if you stay in the winter they turn off the air-conditioning only allowing the heating setting to be used. Therefore, if you wish to cool the room down, only way to do so is to open a window which is problematic when staying in a central location due to noise and pollution, so room temperature stayed at a constant 26 degrees despite Turing the heating off, which made sleeping and the room unconformable.

We booked an accessible room and were assigned Room 203. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing and, at times, unsafe. βRoom Layout & Safety Issues: The room was small and difficult to maneuver in a wheelchair. Most concerningly, the emergency pull cord (along with the curtain pulls) was located in a corner behind a floor lamp, a wall lamp, and heavy curtains. It was impossible to access from my chair, which is a significant safety oversight. Additionally, a huge chair was placed between the bed and the bathroom, meaning I could not open the door to wheel into the bathroom without moving furniture. βTemperature, Power & Medical Needs: The room was stiflingly hot, remaining over 26Β°C (79Β°F) at all times. Although instructions said to open a window if it got too warm, the window was sealed shut. βThe hotelβs only solution was to provide two wobbly fans. This "fix" created a critical problem: using the fans occupied two of the only three plug sockets in the room. This left us with insufficient power to charge devices or use necessary medical equipment overnight. It is unacceptable for an accessible room to have so few outlets that you have to choose between cooling the room and running medical gear. βParking & Access: Despite Hotels.com and Moxyβs own website stating accessible parking is available, there is no parking at the hotel. We were forced to use local car parks, which added over Β£30 to our stay. To make matters worse, the trek from the car park was difficult, and upon arrival, the accessible door to the lobby was broken. βThe bathroom had a huge footprint but the smallest sink I've ever had the displeasure to use. I would not recommend this room for anyone requiring genuine accessibility.

Nice hotel, modern twist on rooms with decor and lighting all very nice. Great sleep, beds very comfortable and quiet room. Reception area has comfy seating and games that can be played. Check in was very quick and friendly welcoming staff. Our taxi was able to drop us off directly outside. We didn't eat an evening meal as kitchen was closed but we had a lovely sour dough pizza 5 mins walk Franco Manca highly recommend. Hotel is right by the old town, harbour and west Quay shopping centre all in easy walking distance. Breakfast had lots of variety, yoghurt, fruits, pastries, breads, cereals and cooked. Lovely comfortable stay would recommend

Rooms were excellent, spacious for couples and families. Bathroom was clean and daily Housekeeping service. Good Breakfast at nominal rates. Malls and IKEA in walkable distance from hotel. Cupboards and wardrobe not available, so for longer stays need to organize yourself to get the room look tidy

Recommended! I stayed collectively for 6 nights whilst my mum was in hospital. Had to keep extending my stay. Staff were really good to me. Room and facilities were great including the wifi. Shame thereβs no gym but when to the diving/gym complex over the road so no issues. Great location for the shopping centre. Breakfast was great. Parking is Β£5 per day. Definitely stay here again but hopefully under better circumstances. Thanks to everyone at Moxy for making me feel comfortable!

My wife and I had a lovely 2 night stay at the moxy . The rooms where lovely and clean with a 50" TV and led lights all over the place . Very modern and hip . Ideal for the modern generation. Breakfast was nice but not my usual pick . It was part cooked and part continental. You could have as much as you like don't get me wrong . Personal choice I guess? The staff was helpful and friendly . Located right next to West Quay.

Easy going and relaxed vibe, in modern decor. Room was well kept, with 2 USB sockets next to the bed. Hairdryer in the room. Use West Quays car park for this hotel. Β£5 for 24 hours parking. Bar is open 24/7 and voucher for free drinks included with the room.

The stay was okay. The staff was friendly. The hotel is more like a slightly better youth hostel. The rooms are very spartan. Bed, TV, armchair and small bathroom. No refrigerator, no closet. The whole ambience is a bit shabby. Therefore, the 4 stars are not justified in my opinion.
