Very loud and rooms were FREEZING!!! It’s above a pub. Didn’t feel like my belongings were safe as both the doors were open when I came back and around 20 people in the stairwell! They also take a £100 deposit from you before you arrive which is a nightmare.
Not bad B&B for 2 nights. Self check in/out. No room service but room was clean & tidy. Location not bad. Could walk to town & back.
Smell of moisture. Too small. Not even a wardrobe. They offered us another room, that's the 3 star for them but we changed the accomodation as it was hard for us to breath. Room was clean. I would definitely not recommend if you have asthma or allergies.
Like others we had issues with the code were given to check in. The room was unclean, with holes in the wall, unpainted sections of wall, cables running over the floor, a gap under the door and a broken shower holder. We paid extra for a room with a seating area which turned out to be one dining room chair in a corner, wrapped in the aforementioned cables. We contacted the property directly but it's been 3 days with no response to our complaint.
Room quite cramped. Good value for money but access is not great. The code I was given to use to enter didn't work. Luckily was let in by the pub next doors which have an entrance to the Rooms. Basic amenities and toiletries are fine Good for just a quick night's sleep.
Feels more like a hostel than a hotel The reviews say the beds are comfy - but my bed was completely worn out to the springs. Check-in was just a code emailed, which made it feel more like an airbnb. No housekeeping service even though staying for 4 days. Need to call to request more towels. Great location, but wouldn't stay here again. I don't know why my experience is so different from the reviews I have read, but that may be contributing to my great disappointment.
