   We had a wake here. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was excellent, the service was perfect, and they made the whole wake a lot less stressful.

   The building looks good on outside. Inside needs a good overhall. Repairs n defo painting. Carpets need to be scrapped n new ones fitted thru the whole building. Its the carpets that make th place smell. Theres no heating in room even when turning the rad on. It doesnt work. Its a case of... Wipe your feet on way out. You get what you pay for i spose

   Good location, parking onsite and on the streets nearby. Great pub and beer garden. The bed was comfortable and the room was large. The shower in our room was poor, it had very low pressure. Barely a trickle of water. The bathroom needed ventilation, the fan didn't work and it didn't have a window.

   We came here for a small farewell gathering for a friend, and this pub made a great setting for it. Nestled in a beautiful, green location, the outdoor area feels both peaceful and inviting. With wooden benches, lots of natural light, and the sound of birds in the background, it's a great spot for catching up with friends or just relaxing. The atmosphere is definitely the star here — it feels warm, welcoming, and has that “hidden gem” vibe. The staff were polite and helpful, and they let us enjoy our time without rushing us, which we appreciated. The drinks menu was solid, with a decent range of beers, ciders, and some cocktails. Everything tasted fresh and was served promptly. However, prices felt slightly on the higher side, especially considering the average quality of some drinks and the somewhat limited food options. It’s not unreasonably expensive, but it might not be your go-to if you're on a budget or expecting top-tier pub grub. Overall, we had a great time. The setting and friendly vibe make it worth a visit — especially for a special occasion — just don’t come expecting a bargain.

   We had the garden room and garden today for my daughter’s baby shower. What an absolutely amazing experience. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They kept checking if we needed anything and nothing was too much trouble. We were so lucky to have glorious sunshine which meant we used the garden and what a fantastic space. Thank you all so much

   No experience of the hotel. Review relates only to the bar areas. Great venue, good service, friendly staff. Good selection of bar food. Lots of different seating areas. Large garden. Great for functions.

   Never been before but local to my son. Sunday lunch was very good and the staff were very attentive and sociable. Grandchildren played on the swings and climbing frame before we strolled. My son has booked the venue for his 40th birthday celebrations. We will definitely go back.

   Room was basic. Very cold despite radiator being on. Thin duvet. Asked for another duvet and was given an electric heater and sheet as no more duvets or blankets!! My friend was given 2 sheets and no heater! She wore her coat in bed. The staff tried to be helpful but had nothing to offer. Main customers appeared to be builders.

   Came here last night and had such a good time. The food was delicious (we had the lamb fries and Korean chicken macaroni). Then played shuffleboard and pool. The staff were really friendly and the pub was a wonder to explore. Will definitely be back soon, thanks guys!
