   Booked hotel for Reading Festival. Was a decent price considering the festival and last minute booking a week before. Only 30 mins walk from the festival . Check in was nice and quick and professional. Our room was clean, with towels and bedding, but a bit run down. (Holes in halls, cracking of plaster). The bathroom was clean but only had half roll of toilet paper, which was used by the first night. The next morning, we asked the front desk for more toilet rolls to be put in the room whilst we were out at the festival. Upon our return at midnight, we arrived to see that no toilet paper had been delivered which as you could imagine, was a difficult situation. We got through the night and checked out the morning after. If you are looking for a place that's cheap to simply sleep, shower and store your belongings to go into Reading, this hotel was ok for that and would recommend. If you are planning on utilitising the room more, than I would say, pay a bit more and go elsewhere.

3. pretty pretty ★☆☆☆☆

   Shower temperature cannot be regulated was burning hot so completely unusable but I had already tried to start washing my hair, then found the hairdryer was broken, so sitting in a cold room with wet hair. I could not afford an expensive hotel but I expected at least a warm shower and working appliances, really bad experience

   I'm a contractor and have seen my fair share of bad hotels/B&B'S but Avoid at all costs, spend a little more and have a decent room. The hotel is disgusting and the bed was very uncomfortable. No telly remote the shower was either red hot or dead cold and the cheek of charging £5 a day room service is just wrong.

   Low budget, minimum standards with minimal comforts. Fairly central location and a car park available. Steep stairs to all rooms, minimal staffing

   Filthy, poor bed, filthy shower room full of molds. Smelly room. Manager in the hotel she/he rather have negative feedback than to give satisfaction to their customers. Not recommend this hotel.

   I stayed here for work, check in was at four. The whole place was very run down and quite smelly. Really needed updating. Good location, I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you were desperate.

   Booked in a panic to stay during Reading festival as I didn't want to camp and everywhere else was 2x the price. After reading the reviews I was very concerned about staying here but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, bed was comfy, and the bathroom (which was very modern) was small but clean and everything worked. |We had a kettle, mugs, coffee, tea and milk provided. The staff were very nice and I could leave my car there all weekend knowing it was safe. The only thing I found which was an issue was there was only one plug socket available. But other than that, it was good! Would definitely stay again for Reading Festival weekend.
