   Absolutely Awful – Avoid at All Costs! I wish I had read more reviews before booking this place. From the moment I arrived, I regretted it. The hotel is dirty and untidy, with dust and grime everywhere – it’s clear that cleanliness is not a priority here. The parking situation is terrible, with barely any space, making it a nightmare to park even a small car. However, the worst part of my stay was the owner. His behavior made me feel incredibly uncomfortable—he was overly familiar, staring inappropriately at my dress and making me feel on edge the entire time. It was completely unacceptable and left me feeling unsafe. This is NOT a place I would ever recommend. If you value cleanliness, decent service, and feeling comfortable where you stay, avoid White Gates Hotel at all costs!

   Awful experience, the manager is a nasty man who was inappropriate to my wife and children. Stay well away. An out dated, unloved hotel with no natural light.

   The rudest owner I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. I would not recommend anyone to visit this hotel. It was dirty and the parking was over crowded.

   Poor attention to detail and the service was very poor, tried to contact to the manager several times but he didn't pick up the phone, and when he did he was very arrogant. I will never go back again

   Lovely hosts, a home from home during renovations - I’m awful with names but the owner was welcoming and friendly in the morning, his niece was absolutely superb! Went out of their way for me to get the keys earlier and the breakfast lady ( sorry I didn’t ask name) was kind, interactive with my daughter and I actually can’t fault the room.... comfy bed, lovely shower, extremely clean and more than value for money! Will be staying here a lot more while we are renovating! Thank you for being so accommodating on short notice and making us feel at home
