Great hotel, steeped in history with attentive staff and smart, comfortable rooms. Quality cooked breakfast and off street parking. Fairly priced, the hotel offers is perfectly located to enjoy the town of Lyndhurst, the New Forest and nearby attractions. Would recommend.

We took our 5 month old Cockapoo to get used to travelling and staying in hotels. The staff were amazing very helpful & friendly. Stephen in the bar very attentive and the staff on reception were excellent and big thank you to the night manager who let my wife and dog go out early in the mornings. Great breakfasts, rooms very good we stayed in the Scarlett suite spacious and warm.

We stayed last minute in the King Rufus Suite - it was a gorgeous suite, however a few elements about this place need work. Firstly, there was not enough staff on reception, meaning they never picked up the phone. Nb. The staff were very nice, so this is not a dig at them - they were absolutely run off their feet. The elevator was broken so we had to go up and down 3-4 times to order food, get a correct sized sheet etc. Not the best when you’re on the top floor with two small kids. The master remote control was broken, the drinking cup had toothpaste marks on it the inside. The hotel also charged extra for absolutely everything - £7 extra for room service, extra for a cot, extra for a bottle of water, extra service charge on food, extra for an adapter plug - even if you’re paying £290/ night for a room. Small touches like this would have been a nice service & we’d have been return customers if it hadn’t felt so misley, The breakfast was downright awful - I can’t sugarcoat this. Eggs - awful, tasteless. They may have even been powdered. Hard to tell. Tomatoes and potatoes looked like they’d been soaked and then cooked (soggy). They were also lukewarm as others have commented too. Fruit salad sat in a bowl of collected fruit juice so it felt soggy and old - which I don’t think it was actually old. Really this should be completely revamped. I also asked for a bottle of water from breakfast staff to make up a baby bottle and they couldn’t really comprehend this so I had to go elsewhere. Dinner was really lovely though - the gnocchi was tasty.

We stayed at The Crown Manor for our very first night in England after an exhausting travel day. We found the accommodations very comfortable and it was easy to settle in. The decor and attention to detail was stunning. Our window view of the town was towards a lovely church. I was also especially happy for the deep soaking tub. We enjoyed interacting with the hotel and restaurant staff and found them to be warm, competent, and professional. This was the perfect launching spot for our cycling adventure. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

A delightful stay at the Crown Hotel in the heart of the New Forest. Extremely welcoming and the staff were always very polite and helpful. Dinner on arrival was excellent, breakfast was also just what we needed before our day exploring the New Forest and its surrounds. Perfect location with the town outside your front door with many other places to eat and see. We will definetely be back and unreservedly recommend a visit. Thanks again.

Excellent food, it's fine dining so portions are not huge but a good size. The service is good with lots of staff from the hotel available. The restaurant itself is classy, set on the ground floor of the hotel so you can see the church opposite. The building is historic, and the restaurant is well decorated with the Gothic architecture visible but the interior is decorated in modern style. Good for a romantic dinner, and I would recommend

A very nice hotel directly on the high street, with good parking and great access to the village high street. The bar is well stocked, and the restaurant has an excellent menu. The rooms are well equipped being restocked daily with tea, coffee and biscuits. I have only given 4 stars for the service because we were refused access to the dining room one evening, with the excuse that the kitchen only cooks for the tables booked. With the number of items on the menu this seemed like a brush off. As this trip was for our wedding anniversary and this was our day we felt quite perturbed by the reaction of the maitre'd. This meant we had to find an alternative place to eat at short notice.

Had a wonderful stay at The Crown Manor House, we were a family of four and stayed in the suite which was very spacious, clean and well looked after. Food in the restaurant was delicious with a fantastic kids menu, we had a lovely waitress called Charlie who looked after us. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend.
