Chris felstead- I have been with him for 10 years. Other vets fail to correctly diagnose and their response to all appointments has been in leave in Overnight or carry out extortionate tests. 99% have failed to identify, where Chris has always recommended at home treatments where possible. I no longer have insurance since it was tripled with no explanation and no ongoing illnesses, and so all treatments are self funded. I really wish that veterinary practices were more fairly/reasonably priced, but understand that this is a huge money making industry. I am very nervous and sceptical about booking any other vet than Chris. Have standards / qualifications dropped in this field or do many no longer care? Perhaps their owning companies have set financial targets per appointment?

The whole team from night vet through to the morning shift were very helpful and gave us all the info required. We gave Rocco a few hours at home but based on the clinical diagnosis given, we decided to put Rocco at ease and put him to eternal sleep. Staff was very good as our emotions were through the roof.

I recently changed to this practice on recommendation from two friends. The reason I changed over was not only does it have a very good reputation but to me very importantly it is a 24 hour practice so I don’t need to move my cats from one practice to another every day in traffic when they are unwell. Previously one of my cats had a PU surgery and needed a catheter stitched in and I had to drive him in this state across town every day so he could be taken care of by an overnight vet then pick him up and take him back to the other vet each morning for days. This was distressing for my cat and me. I am very impressed with the Wokingham Medivet. The first vet I met was β€œChris” who was very professional and knowledgeable and had an excellent manner with my cat Huggie who was quickly diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Everything was carefully explained to me and an agreement for the most suitable medication was made and a clear plan. My other cat Fozzie came in the next day for vaccines with Diana and she was a delight and dealt so well with my rather large but nervous cat. I am very happy to have made the change and have complete peace of mind that my two 13 year old furry brothers will get the very best of care whenever they need it. I would not hesitate in recommending this practice. Indeed, I already have!!

Top notch care and advice for my elderly cat. They are seeing her post op as needed and dealing with all complications calmly, efficiently and knowledgeable. The staff are professional and friendly. Been with them for 7 years, because of their brilliant care and 24 hour hospital.

Significant THANK YOU for all they did for us! We had to rush to an emergency appointment as our pup poisoned herself. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and arranged a vet right away. Before we arrived, the vet contacted the poison helpline, and her treatment started once we walked in. Acting this fast saved our little girl's life! Another experience from last year wasn't a happy ending as we had to say goodbye to our beloved 11yo Bullmastiff boy. We decided to have a home visit. The vets were very kind and understanding and gave us all time we needed for cuddles and goodbyes. We wouldn't do it any other way, and having kind people around such Medivet Wokingham staff makes it a bit easier, as difficult as this situation was.

I had an out of hours appointment with my cat when he had rapid onset severe abdominal pain. By the time we arrived he was in so much pain he wouldn't leave his carrier. The vet was brilliant and he was admitted to be sedated before examination to save him from further pain and distress. I was told what she intended to do and why and given a projection of costs, and given a time she'd call with an update. He ended up being in for a couple of days and I was kept fully updated with both his treatment and how he was doing. They were also accommodating with some uncertainty over the time I'd collect him as I was reliant on a lift from a neighbour. Cannot thank them enough for their care.

We have had Chris Felstead as our vet for almost 12 years and we cannot thank him enough for his ongoing compassion, professionalism and trust that our dogs have in him. The practice staff have also been kind and considerate when I have had to make changes to appointments at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances. It really has made all the difference to me too. Thank you. Would definitely recommend.

I rescued a little fox cub wandering around in Woodley and was terrified to call RSPCA as they just put amimals down on the spot. I coaxed the little one into my cousin's dog cage and took her to Medivet. Huge shout out for Gareth and Celine - who reported back to me twice and are going to move her (yes she's a little girl fox) in fact they've named her Felicity after Fabulous Mr Fox's wife;) Love these guys - they have real heartβ™₯️ Big shout out to Penny Little at Little Foxes and Rita at Greenman Wildlife care for their kind help and advice on the phone. And my daughter for watchin her mother scale a 6'6" school wall with a giant cage to rescue the little girly-fox;)
