I have been to see both Mel and Jo with my nervous rescue dog, and due to moving house I have previously been to a few different vet practices before coming to Brook vets. Brooks is by far the best vet experience we have received. The staff have been so kind, patient and caring with Rosie. They take their time to ensure Rosie is comfortable and we never feel rushed. Rosie is normally so nervous with new people yet she has been the most relaxed here than at any vet practice we have visited before. The staff genuinely care about each animal that comes into their practice and take the time to read up and consider their individual needs. The reception staff are also brilliant, nothing is too much trouble and again couldnβt have been better with Rosie and knew exactly how to approach and be around a nervous dog, whilst still being friendly, greeting everyone with a smile and offering reassurance to the owners waiting for their pets in the waiting room. I canβt recommend Brook vets enough particularly for those with a nervous pet!

Both our cat and dog are now registered at this practice, after looking for a new vets, and so many great reviews. Both the cat and the dog are happy going to the vets, and are both at ease when in the surgery. When we needed a specialist orthopedics vet for the dog, we were referred to an amazing team friendly staff throughout the surgery. Completely confident leave either of our pets with them knowing they are.in great hands.

Nothing negative to say. They are all so friendly. So willing to help. Very informative and answer any questions they can. I have 4 kittens and 1 recently had surgery and I was kept updated all day on how he was and had regular updates. Photos of kittens

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with Brook Veterinary Surgery. We trusted them to care for our six cats, all of whom were microchipped. However, it became evident that they failed to properly update their system with our catsβ information. Tragically, Nala, one of our beloved cats, was attacked and severely mauled by several dogs not on their leads just outside the front of our house. The owner of these dogs brought Nala to Brook Veterinary Surgery, this happened to be our veterinary surgery where all our cats are registered. Despite Nala being microchipped, Brook Veterinary Surgery could not find her information in their system due to their failure to update it when we came in on several recent occasions, strangely 4 out of 6 of our cats had their microchip details in they system but not Nala β given the law of having cats microchipped by 10 June 2024 one would have expected Brook Veterinary Surgery to be on it and updating their customer records with microchip details. Brook Veterinary Surgery attempted to find the owner of Nala by searching databases and contact local vets, they were unsuccessful due an issue with the national database β however, they had Nalaβs customer record but couldnβt match the microchip number. Brook Veterinary Surgery did what was required by law under RCVSβ duty of care which is provide basic pain relief, after they concluded they could not find the owner they decided to euthanise Nala. The following day we started calling the local vetβs and found Nala at Brook Veterinary Surgery, upon meeting with their staff in transpired Nala might have been saved if we could have provided consent and financial backing for blood transfusions and specialist care. Between the irresponsible dog owner not contacting us and Brook Veterinary Surgery, our choice was taken away from us to attempt to save Nala. Instead she died slowly alone. In addition, upon further investigation with the practice manager it transpired there are multiple holes in Brook Veterinary Surgery software and defects with their software resulting in timestamps all over the place for clinical records, showing Nalaβs euthanasia whilst she was still alive, even then we struggled to get a clear picture of what happened when.

Really happy we have changed for a very popular vet clinic to The Brook. Our pets are finally well looked after and I don't have to be worry when we have to go for the vet visits. It is no longer a torture. Ladies at the clinic are very helpful and professional.

I have three cats with brookes and travel further for them to be seen there. Amazing service and they really care about my pets. They also don't mind that I am a neurotic owner. 5 stars

Amazingly friendly, knowledgeable staff and veterinarian. You can feel how much they love animals. It was my puppy's first visit, and they put him (and me) at ease.
