   Great location in the Peak district for active families. We rented the Farmhouse for a family weekend, well stocked with almost everything needed for 6 adults & 3 children, loved the space. No stairgates or cots for little ones though. Beds to be stripped before leaving & money needed for table games. Local pub across the road for food & drink, perfect!

   We celebrated our wedding at Knockerdown Holiday Cottages in November 2025. From initial contact to the big day itself, the communication was excellent, Christine and the team could not have been more helpful, and our wedding was exactly what we dreamed it would be! The accommodation and facilities are beautiful, and we will definitely be returning for holidays in future! Thank you again!

   Multi generational family with 4 young children stayed in the lovely adjoining cottage’s Sabenhey and Bruns which provided us with very comfortable and individual family space which also gave us the opportunity to come together for meals and activities. The swimming pool, games room, play park and outdoor space was perfect and great fun with the added bonus of the lovely pub across the road. The team were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

   This is an excellent facility. Our cottage was immaculately clean and the kitchen well appointed. Comfortable beds, rugs in the lounge, children's play area and heated swimming pool all added to a positive experience. We had a problem with the shower which was attended to immediately. It was well located for spending the day at Cassington Waters. Totally recommend.

   Edit: It was great but, they make you strip all the beds and still have an early checkout of 10am. 5 stars if there was a later checkout. Had a lovely stay here. Peaceful and relaxing. Book during the week to bring the price down, which felt like better value to me.

   A first time at Knockerdown cottages & won’t be our last. We booked out 3xcottages sabinhay, Middleton & wisels. All were spotless which was absolutely fab! Everything that you needed to clean. They were topped up with essentials which was a bonus. Warm & cosy with beautiful Xmas trees. You have a shared swimming pool which is opened from 8-6 which is great as we had the kids with us. A games room & a play area so enough to keep them busy if your not going out. Dovedale is about 20 mins away which has breathtaking views!you also have other activities to do not so many miles away. The communication between me (the leader of the group) and the staff was brilliant. The whole process from booking to finish was smooth this Made the holiday even more enjoyable. Overall a lovely winter vacation for all the family. Thank you from us all.

   Lovely setting, good facilities and comfortable rooms. The only 3 negatives, which didn't spoil the break, were some strange oven mitts (take your own to avoid burns), a TV that could only be seen from half of the sofa (not that we watched TV anyway) and a lot of dying wasps (which was hopefully not a regular occurrence). It was a shame the local pub wasn't open as well, but that was obviously not the fault of the site.
