   The room we were given was on the top floor, on the attic, my son head hitvthe roof everytime he moved to change his position. The mattress needs updating, the shower had no water pressure, so we couldn't shower for 2 days. The bathroom door creaked , the room needs updating.

   very basic hotel with dated furniture, WiFi throughout quiet setting hotel could do with refurbishment pressure/ temperature in shower needs reseting toilet brush in one bathroom was disgusting and visibly black ( yuk) But place is very reasonably priced breakfast good staff friendly and approachable

   Jack is very friendly. He said he has had the place for about a year and a half. He serves the English breakfast. The mattress and pillows are old and a little uncomfortable for a good night's rest. However, it is affordable bed and breakfast. Located conveniently, not far from the city centre. Just a brisk walk or short drive from all amenities. He even made me delicious beef curry. Very attentive host/owner.

   Lovely hotel with clean and spacious rooms. Great location, 3mins walk from Southampton central station, 15mins walk to Southampton city center, 5mins walk to the seaside. Breakfast was nice and delicious. One special thing about this hotel is, they have full water softener system, and the shower head has extra water softener on it. The drinking water tastes great and the shower water is so comfortable that I have not experienced the same water quality else where in the UK. Love this place so much and I will definitely come back again.

   We were looking for a last minute place to stay online and came across this place, we rang to see if the deal on the booking website was true and what time we could come back as we had a late night in store due to being at a show. The hostess informed us that we could have a key to come back in with and then proceeded to give s an even better price over the phone than the booking agent. we arrived at the lodge to be pleasantly greeted by the hostess who went out of her way to help us and tell us about the local events on that evening. the room was lovely and breakfast was amazing, would highly recommend and will definitely be staying here upon future trips to Southampton! :)

   We booked this guest house for a few nights as we had several days of appointments in Southampton. It was comfortable enough, in a good location, with hearty cooked breakfast included; enough to keep us going for the day. It was easy to get transport throughout the city as bus stops are only a few minutes walk away. Unfortunately the noise of other guests, rather than the quiet surrounds, grated after a while. The motion activated lighting became a little irritating, especially in the bathroom when it turned off during my shower. The house was also quite dusty, not dirty in the important areas, but it's a little off putting. Overall I would recommend this accommodation and thank the hostess for holding our luggage for a few hours after we had departed.
