Great find while visiting Shanklin for 3 days. We were a walk in on Friday night and staff were welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and staff attentive. Our food was delicious and menu selection excellent. Amici is a must if your in the area you won't be disappointed!
Nice family friendly Italian restaurant. Food was excellent, with menu choices wide and with all the usual favourite, plus some dishes new to us. We both decided on pasta dishes and were pleased with the quality. Ordered garlic bread on the side and it was huge, drenched in garlic, and covered with cheese. All very yummy. Service was good, our waitress was particularly friendly and helpful. Food came reasonably quickly. Glad we reserved a table as the place was full and people were having to be turned away.
Busy, which is usually a good sign. Now we have eaten there we know why. Great choice of the usual Italian classics plus some of their own. Our meals were delicious and what was arriving around us looked pretty good too. Service was very good - friendly and accommodating. Prices were very reasonable. Have every intention of returning- but will probably book in advance next time to make sure we don't miss out on nabbing the last free table!
Lovely food, lovely staff but a bit cramped inside. Would 100% go back again. My husband said he wished the portion sizes were bigger for the pasta (because it was delicious) but the kids pizza and garlic bread with cheese were huge.
Was disappointed by them being out of stock on several menu items. I ordered breaded lamb rack. But they had none so offered lamb steak. It was bashed so thin and thickly covered in breadcrumbs and fried like schnitzel could not taste the lamb. They happily? Redid the dish without bread crumbs and that was ok. Lots of meat but maybe not the best quality meat. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and the starter was absolutely amazing. Again big portion of well cooked seafood with the lightest tastiest broth .bellissimo
My food experience here is quite good. I find the food good,NOT SMALL PORTIONS as I read in comments. The pizza was thin and crispy and it has a good taste as well. The tagliere was good..and the Mozzarella was fresh.We ordered also 2 pastas and the portions were good as well!!what I found FUNNY IS the NAME Of the "HAWAIAN PIZZA" THEY HAVE . THE PASTA WAS WELL COOKED. PAPPARDELLE MUSHROOMS AND THE NAPOLITAN calamarata. One suggestion..no rosemary on fish's pasta. Last thing no air conditioning inside just fan on the roof.
We booked to eat here for our last night on the island following a short break away. After reading the reviews we had high hopes, and with Italian being our favourite cuisine we were looking forward to a delicious meal. Unfortunately we left quite dissapointed. Between us for mains we ordered a ravioli dish, a carbonara, a mushroom tagliatelle, some dough balls and a margarita pizza. The pizza was a good size but average in terms of flavour but it did have a lovley texture as was nice and thin but not too crispy, the pasta dishes were all tasty enough but *very* small portions and we have had far better tasting food in other, less expensive, restaurants. The dough balls were really nice and obviously hand made which was a nice touch. We then ordered puddings which is were things went really downhill, they were chocolate fudge cake, a chocolate orange cake and tiramisu. The kids say the chocolate fudge cake was the 'same as normal' and looked like it was a pretty standard choc fudge cake, all OK there. The chocolate orange cake was nice, but full of lemon curd which is a bit odd considering it was supposed to be orange flavoured and then the tiramisu was just disgusting. I've had tiramisu in lots and lots of amazing restaurants, it's my favourite desert and I've never left it uneaten until now. It was served in a glass tumbler and aside from the thin top layer of whipped cream it was just a glass full of murky flavourless watery mush. Possibly the worst thing that's ever been served to me in any restaurant and ruined the whole meal for me. The service wasn't anything memorable with staff not seeming to know the menu well and fairly inexperienced. The restaurant itself needs a bit of a refresh, it looks quite tired inside, the tables were sticky and the menu holders were really tatty with bits flaking away when you touched them. The food and drinks are overpriced for the quality and quantity recieved. Overall this was a fairly dissapointing meal out and we would net reccomend or return to this restaurant. I'm giving it 2 stars purely because the main course dishes tasted nice but that's the only positive I can really give focus to.

Don’t sleep on this restaurant! Taste amazing and fresh! Lovely vibe and the servers are so nice and attentive! We were visiting isle of wight for 3 days and found this on the 2nd night after walking around and was rejected several times by most restaurants due to full booking. If they served lunch we would have gone back on our last day because it was truly great food!
Lovely Italian restaurant. Stuff were so lovely, smiling and very attentive. Food was delicious, i would highly recommend the spaghetti with king prawn. Cheesy garlic bread very yummy too. Pizza is very big so if you are not that hungry, maybe great for sharing. My daughter and i really enjoyed our mean on Wednesday evening. Thank you
