6 friends dined here on a busy Saturday afternoon in December. They had an offer on, 3 courses for £35. Very reasonable. The wine menu was good with plenty of choices. It's a great place that looks over the river humber. The food wasn't the tastiest and not hot.

Poor ribeye steak, cold onion rings soggy batter wont be back. £36 for an 8oz ribeye which was more 6oz and so thin the chefs could only cook it well done. Not medium as i ordered

Rooms were clean, warm, modern and spacious. We slept really well. All facilities were good. The pub is huge and the food is highly rated, which was obvious from how packed it was over the weekend. We enjoyed everything we ate here including the continental and cooked breakfasts. The location was great for what we needed, views over the estuary are lovely. Would have been even better if I had remembered to take some binoculars. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Oh gosh we loved it. We were on our way home from a children’s party and in desperate need of a roast dinner for us. I called twenty minutes before we were due to arrive to see if there was space for about half two on a Sunday. They confirmed there was space for us and set up the table we needed (highchair) for when we arrived. They were so wonderful and accommodating when we arrived. The food was exceptional and it’s not always easy to take two small children to a place that does food of that quality. Thanks so much for a great Sunday roast and pudding!

I thoroughly enjoyed the food but felt the portions were small. Service was slow. Took 50 minutes to get mains out, so before we ordered dessert we asked how long. Told 5 to 10 minutes, after 15 minutes still no desserts. When we pointed out the long wait to the manager, we were informed all the food was cooked to order and not microwaved!!!

We had a family meal shortly after Christmas. No other words to describe our visit as excellent. The service was superb and the food was stunning. I live in Germany and visit the UK at least once a year. I thought it may be a bit of a risk trying the "Fish & Chips" as it's not something I would normally order outside of a proper Chippy. How wrong could I be, this was without doubt the finest piece of Haddock I have ever eaten. The presentation was a piece of artwork in itself . We will definitely be back on out next visit to the UK.

Haven't been here for 10 yrs so it's was a nice surprise!! The waiting on staff were very helpful and friendly. Taylor who was serving us was polite and very helpful. Had the portobello mushroom for starters which was lovely with a nice soft poached egg. Then a sharing surf and turf with lobster and a fillet steak both superb. Would highly recommend this place.
