   Having had cats in our lives for 40 years we can honestly say that Bluecat Cattery can only be described as excellent and the care given to its guests is outstanding. The cabins and surroundings are top notch. Within a couple of days, Maxine had made friends with our normally shy and reclusive old boy and we were astounded to see a photo of him out of his bed and accepting plenty of fussing. When we collected him, it was a joy to see him happily interacting with Maxine just as he does with us - truly a first!

   Our cats are part of our family, and it’s so important to us that they are happy and comfortable while we are away on holiday. Maxine is so passionate about her business and caring for the cats in her care. Leaving our cats with Maxine allows us to go on holiday and to not worry about our girls. The cattery is in a quiet location and is a secure, calm and tranquil place. Both our cats are nervous of people they don’t know, but they always return calm and content. Maxine spends a lot of time with the cats and regularly sends photos while we are away. I highly recommend The Bluecat Cattery and concur with the other reviews that Maxine provides true 5-star care.

   Nala had her holiday here back in November 22. I was impressed by both the facilities and the obvious enthusiasm for cats shown by Maxine the owner. I was taken ill just before the start of the holiday and Maxine took the changes to drop off and pick up times in her stride. Nala had a great time and whilst pleased to see me when I picked her up, I was still treated to the full version of “The song of my people” on the drive home. While we were away Maxine sent photos of Nala, which were greatly appreciated. As she was staying at The Bluecat over Halloween she got a present of a home made catnip witches hat - a toy she still chases round the house. I have no hesitation in recommending Maxine and The Bluecat Cattery if your cat needs a holiday.

   The best cattery in the world (probably)! We were understandably concerned about our 5 year old cat Teddy’s first ever stay in a cattery as it turns out he had a better holiday than we did. Well appointed, quiet, peaceful surroundings, constant attention, warmth and plenty to keep him occupied (toys, tickles and playing with neighbours through the glass). He loved every minute. Regular, superbly taken photos with amusing captions update you on your pets stay. Maxine has an obvious, amazing connection with cats which puts them at their ease from the off. She takes great care of your cat and attends to individual needs and requirements, nothing is too much trouble. In a nutshell if you’re concerned or worried about leaving your cat DON’T be - he/she couldn’t be in better hands, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Maxine and Bluecat to anybody and Teddy is booked in for our next holiday !

   Maxine and her staff are amazing. We left our 2 cats for the first time ever in a cattery, to say they were 'shy' was an understatement, we are so happy with the service we and our cats received! The care and attention shown to all the cats when we visited prior to booking and once we dropped off and picked up was lovely to see! I will be using Bluecat again and wouldn't hesitate in recommending!

   What a wonderful place for my cat to spend his time whilst his humans were on holiday. Duncan is a rescue cat and I've only had him for 3 months, so I was rather nervous about leaving him, but Maxine reassured me that he would be cared for. He certainly was. I had some lovely updates sent to me during his stay. He was loved, cuddled, played with and fed well. The Blue Cat Cattery is in a peaceful location, lovely runs and bedroom compartments. Most importantly, the people there are passionate about cats, I felt like Duncan was going to stay with friends not a business. Thanks so much Maxine.

   I was so worried about leaving our nearly one year old cat at a cattery for the first time but I cannot recommend The Bluecat Cattery more. Maxine is incredible, she's so kind and genuinely cares about the cats in her care. I got regular photo updates and Ron came home so happy, I knew he had been so well cared for. He even got a leaving gift which he has been playing lots with. If you're looking for a cattery look no further. 5 star cat care *****
