Always full of bargains and plenty of stock. Only thing that's annoying is staff using headsets for personal chit chat. Sometime find they are not paying attention. The new layout is a shoplifters paradise. Not a great idea.
Went shopping 11/01/25 to Heron, Grampian Way, was served by a lady called Emma Scott. Never wrote a review before. I had to ask her name because this lady was extremely polite and helpful, even helped pack the bags. Was definitely service with a smile. I hate shopping the lady cheered my morning up. A pleasurable experience shopping today.
Went for a walk with my autistic 2 year old and popped in to get her a snack, I had her on her scooter for the walk and as a nice person I left her scooter at the door so it didn't make tire marks around the shop, so I carried my child around the shop and only got about 5 items and when I came to pay I got a bag and the cashier slides my items down on to the bag, like most humans I only have 2 arms, the cashier didn't offer to put my items in the bag so I had to put my child down to bag my items in which time my autistic child who is 2 wondered off while I bagged the items and paid. Luckily she found her scooter at the door and waited for me but still would of been nice for the cashier to bag my 5 small items as there was nobody waiting behind me and could see I was carrying a child.

Used to like herons but 3 lockdowns and 3 lots of uneeded price rises now most expensive shop around I'm now happy to spend my money elswere besides my like for like £100 a week shop is £30+ cheaper at farm foods so will never use herons again and I know of at least 30 other shoppers that spend the same also won't use herons again
