Amazing value for what you pay for that's for sure! Clean rooms, diverse continental breakfast. Paul was super welcoming! Check in closes at 8pm so make sure you let them know you will arrive later than that. I was working next day 8 min away by car so location was great.
I accidentally locked myself out in the night and the gentleman who came to help was very understanding despite havjng being woken up. The breakfast choice was incredible. Great value for money
Absolutely poor quality location, more of a hostel than hotel. Never again to use. Noisy, couldn't sleep. Right on top of a roundabout..
My advice? Stay somewhere else. This is not a hotel, this is a hostel. There’s no staff on site, there’s long term guests who frequent the ‘reception’ (kitchen) who are noisy and make things uncomfortable (we checked in and they were drinking in the kitchen). There’s 2 (or 3, can’t remember) rooms off of the kitchen area, like you open the room door into the kitchen, so given that these long term guests are always in the kitchen, it just makes it extremely awkward getting to your room, and they also are up early and late, so you can hear them all the time. Room 4 was absolutely freezing, the carpet was cold and there was no info on how to get the heating on, so I had to call up on Christmas Day to ask what to do, as if I couldn’t have heated that room I would have left and drove back to Manchester, it was that cold. Turns out the rooms aren’t individually heated, you have to turn the thermostat on in the corridor. I ended up having to swap rooms with my brother who was upstairs. The lamp in room 6 does not work, it just flickers, the shower is honestly the worst I’ve had, I’ve had stronger water flow in a jungle in the middle of Thailand… it took me 20 minutes just to wash my hair. Also, the soap in the rooms and in the toilets is a bar of soap, personally find it a bit disgusting that multiple people are touching the same bar of soap, replace it with hand soap? Anyway, we decided to check out early even though we paid for 2 nights, would rather lose the money than stay in what feels like a hostel.
Booked for son for 4 nights whilst he attended a course. Had to change to a different hotel after first night due to other guests arguing outside his room . Shouting and banging about . (Appears they are long term guests) Son didn't want to leave his room to get phone number of owner from the front door as he elt unsafe and there may have been repercussions. Alarm sounded when he was using communal bathroom due to length of time he was showering. Expensive 1 night stay. .....Not refunded for other unused nights..
Nice people cleaning but this is not a Hotel it's rooms with breakfast facilities. The mattress were so poor.
The room was decent for the price, bed was comfy, included shower, good storage was available. However my issues was mainly with the cleanliness of the bathrooms as the upstairs toilet was covered in urine stains amongst other stains. The kitchen is okay as it provides a few selection of food but the was no coffee and the milk provided had gone off and was chunky. Overall it was okay but wouldn’t be my first recommendation unless it’s a last minute booking.
Haven't stayed there. Booked through booking.com, wanted to make a date change. Owner called me to cancel booking.com and go directly through them which I did. I have tried contacting them recently, through booking.com, by email and no response. I tried facebook messenger and no response. I tried calling and the phones are turned off. Not a good experience.
No toilet in room. TBF I not have some extreme expectation but toilet in room is standard in XXI century... but not in this hostel. In room you not have chair or desk where you can do any work. I book this place cause need get quick accommodation and all Premier Inn or Travelodge was full. But never again. Much below standard
Visited 1st July 2021 for 3 nights, a mature couple. Easy to find, plenty of parking at front and rear. Location was great for us, several miles from city centre, but on bus routes. Parks & open spaces across the road. Area is quiet, tidy, safe. Premises are clean, quiet, comfortable. Hotel was cheap price but fittings are better than "budget" - there is a well-equipped kitchen for guest use. Breakfast is cold, continental style, unlimited quantity (within reason). Adequate for the low price. Staff were friendly, helpful, polite - and always available.
