Review of The Yarborough Arms, Ulceby Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing. The service was slow, and the quality of the main meals was below standard. The fish was badly overcooked – very dry, with rock-hard batter. The chips were bland, and the mushy peas were extremely thick. The turkey dinner was also disappointing, with overdone roast potatoes and hard sprouts. The salmon was acceptable, but nothing special. Desserts were fine, but overall not worth the money, which is unfortunate as we had expected better.

The Yarborough Arms is a traditional pub with a good selection of beers lager and cider including a cask conditioned hand pulled real ale which was in excellent condition when i called in. The pub is very popular for meals and has a nice restaurant. I only called in for a drink, i haven't tried the food so i can't comment but the menu looked very tempting and people i spoke to said the food is very good. There is a separate bar which is dog friendly and a pool room. The pub has an outside seating area and a customer car park.

We've been here a few times now and really enjoy eating here the Steak & Ale pie is absolutely delicious, we met one of the owners today and have to say what a lovely lady she is and you can tell she really cares about this place and making sure everything is how it should be, it seems to me its more the a business to them and that makes the difference to other places I would recommend eating here even if you have to wait for a table then I would have a drink and wait for a table or ring in advance and book one you won't regret it! Can not comment on the rooms but after meeting Mary I'd say that they'd be lovely.

We went in for Sunday lunch, we hadn’t booked but they were happy to seat us, and didn’t mind that we wanted to sit outside. The food was amazing, well presented, very good portions and really tasty! We were very happy with the service, all the ladies were lovely and very attentive, they didn’t forget about us even though we were outside and made sure to keep checking on us. Would highly recommend and come back! Thank you for having us and your warm welcome

Lovely Sunday meal. Food was superb. Compliments to the chefs. The service was the best we have ever had in all the restaurants in the world we have been to. Hannah the waitress was polite and attentive to all our families needs. Very professional and helpful while we were at the Yarborough arms. We will definitely be back.

Mix up with drinks, shandy instead of a lager. Starters pre ordered were missed and 3 starters arrived after the first had been finished. Desperate Dan pie filling was excellent, unfortunately the pastry was hard. Altogether a very nice family meal which could have been better had they been a bit more organized. Would go again as have been before, hoping for a better experience next time.

We are 5 or 6 (one cant always make it) old codgers, and we have regular monthly lunch dates...on my recommendation we decided to have a lunch here at the Yarborough..what a great decision...the totally empty plates from all 5 of us told the story really! I had the steak and kidney pie..absolutely delicious, followed by a cracking chocolate sponge with custard and mixed berries..again empty plates all round. One of the very few pubs which will get a return visit..Highly recommended!

We loved it so much we went back against her next day! Food was the best I've tasted in a very long time and staff and service was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and Vicki and the rest off the staff were very helpful and always had a smile on their faces . Fantastic! I have recommended it to my friends and we will definitely go again soon.

Great food, always enjoy our visits here. Even though we don't come here as often, we still have a good meal. Not a huge choice of food but still very good quality of food, staff are friendly and highly recommended. I ordered a Guinness steak, regular portion was plenty enough for me.
