Absolutely lovely place. My cat needed to be seen as a matter of urgency and they got her in on very short notice. Everyone I spoke to was kind and considerate throughout and everything was very efficient. Highly recommend

Suggest if you want a written CD prescription then you give it plenty of time as, in my experience, there is almost always a problem with it. Today it was sent to Louth instead of Rasen where i asked to pick it up. Will have to do another 20 mile round trip as unwilling to post it to me.

I'm extremely upset with the service I received from this practice, both in terms of the care for my pony and the way I’ve been treated as a client. I can stand by the fact I will never use this vets for my horses again. My elderly pony was unwell and deteriorating, and I called the practice to discuss whether euthanasia might be the kindest option or if there were other options worth exploring. Unfortunately, the vet who attended barely spoke to me, offered no guidance or compassion, and took bloods without any meaningful discussion. I was left with no understanding of what had been done or what the plan was. As it turns out, some of the blood tests taken were completely unnecessary, and if the vet had spoken to me properly, they could have been avoided — saving both time and a very large bill at the extortionate price of £300 (just for the tests). The situation escalated from there. I was told the results would be back by Friday morning, but despite calling the practice multiple times that day, I never received the promised call. I was told three times that someone would ring me “shortly,” and then falsely told they had already tried to contact me — which they hadn’t, I had been sat by my phone all afternoon waiting for a call that never came. I finally received a call the next day (Saturday) to confirm the bloods showed euthanasia was the kindest option, however this information was only based off half of the results as the rest weren’t back yet (again highlighting some of the tests sent off were unnecessary and clearly just an additional unneeded cost). I arranged the procedure for the following Tuesday, but despite the practice knowing my pony was very nervous and couldn’t be handled in the usual way, they sent a vet who had no prior information. This vet stated the procedure couldn’t go ahead without a headcollar (which wasn’t possible), and that I should have been advised to go down the route of a gun euthanasia from first vet who saw my boy and knew he was too nervous to have a headcollar put on. Had this been explained to me earlier, a highly distressing and unnecessary situation could have been avoided. Clearly showing a lack of care and poor communication. Worse still, the vet attempted to chase and corner my pony, despite me repeatedly asking her not to. The pony was left frightened in his final moments. Eventually, she allowed me to sedate him — something I had asked to do at the beginning but she dismissed as ‘she will just try and catch him’ — and I had to organise the gunman myself in the end after this poor pony had been chased around. Throughout all this, I was trying to do the right thing, yet I felt unheard and dismissed for a horse I have owned and known for years. The vet even admitted before leaving that the visit should never have happened and told me I would not be charged due to the lack of communication both with myself and between vets. To add to this when we were visibly distressed and also waiting the vet was both scrolling on Facebook and messaging back and fourth on messenger. And yet, despite all of this, I’ve now received an invoice, including: A full call-out fee for the euthanasia visit — which didn’t go ahead as planned. An "emergency" surcharge, even though I made it clear this was not an emergency. The full cost of blood tests, some of which were unnecessary and could have been avoided with proper communication. To make things worse, I was told someone from the practice would follow up with me after I raised a complaint. Nobody has contacted me. Instead, they ignored my concerns and just sent me a bill. I’ve owned horses and animals my whole life and have never made a complaint like this. I’ve always had enormous respect for veterinary professionals. But the handling of this situation — the lack of compassion, poor communication, inappropriate charging, and complete absence of accountability — has been disgraceful. It turned out to be a traumatic experience and one I will relive forever.

Terrible, had one of my cats in with problems as he kept getting sick, constantly in & out & never got clear answers for his condition, the last time I took him there he was clearly very sick, they had in three days & came back the same as when I took him, absolutely disgusting.. took him to another vet who had him in over night & the next day picked him looking like a new cat & full of energy.. sadly he had kidney failure & lived another six months (happy six months) but if he had been treated correctly in the first place & gone to a decent vets I feel he would still be here now... Avoid them..

Sad to say goodbye to my little cat Jobes last week but the staff at Rase Vets both Nettkeham and Rasen were so kind. Thank you to vets and staff for doing your best for Jones and especially the nurses for being there for him at the end x

Our pet dog got tangled in some barbedwire that had been left in a wooded area. She had superficial cuts to her chest and all 4 legs. She had sliced through the skin on her inner thigh left leg through to the muscle. We were given the address of this veterinary center and immediately rang them. They were so good, within the hour we had got our baby to them and they arranged to operate and stich the leg that day, Sunday. Fantastic and very helpful

I've taken my kittens here twice. Both times I felt rushed by the vets who didn't seem to ask any questions about the cats general well being, didn't listen to their breathing or heartbeat or perform a general health check which in my experience is usually something that is done at most appointments no matter what the issue is. Ive moved to a different vet now
