I booked a family break for the October half term. I booked a gold plus dog friendly caravan as we had 2 dogs with us. We checked in at 4 we did arrived a little earlier and had a drink in the bar but no dogs aloud inside so had to sit out in the cold. When we went in the caravan was so dirty, we had mould growing up the walls, radiators full of dirt and hairs. Under the cooker hasnβt been looked at for months had hairs food and even dog teats under there. The carpet had stains and the sofa had stains. The bathroom was full of mould around the shower and smelt of wee. The water was white no matter how long it was run for they just said it was an issue with Yorkshire water , we had no bottled water and no offer of any water either. It was the worst caravan I had ever stayed in and Iβve stayed in bronze and never had a problem. My husband went to reception Tuesday and complained as we didnβt have a frying pan either so they sent one eventually and the lady who brought it came in with bleach spray and cleaned it was uncomfortable and didnβt work. On Thursday I asked to speak to the manager who basically told me a gold plus just means we have heating and double glazing!! I said after my cleanliness problems I looked at the reviews which I should have before I went maybe and she said take them with a pinch of salt people like to moan! Well my review is honest. I have never stayed somewhere so dirty. Even the swimming pool was shut most of our break could only use is once.

Visited the week before Halloween and the park was much quieter, which was to be expected. At Reception, we were given clear instructions on where to find the caravan we were staying in. We had a pet friendly caravan which was in really good condition, full of the usual equipment needed for self catering. The caravan itself was a really good size. We ate once in the restaurant, which served the usual fayre but service was nice and quick. The site itself was well maintained with staff always being friendly. All in all, this was a lovely short break away!

Just finished our four day holiday. Loved our lodge was very clean and spacious and easy access ( under 5 minute walk ) to everything . The actual park and grounds were really well maintained and kept clean too . Would highly recommend, especially to visit during the week as it was quieter and perfect if you have small children. Only critique is that the pool isnβt open past 16:30 . And although I won tickets in the arcade my card then said it was invalid and couldnβt get this sorted before we checked out as no one was there.

Spent a lovely end of summer weekend here. We used a private rented van so got to see pictures of the van before booking. Iv seen a few reviews complaining about the condition of some vans booked direct. The entertainment is good my kids enjoyed the arcades and it feels safe and secure. The lifeguards at the pool are all lovely and very good at keeping the swimmers safe. But wow to the lifeguards who run the inflatable obstacle challenge. Harry and his colleague were absolutely brilliant fun entertaining the kids. My children said it was the best hour! and that Harry does the best chuck you across the pool throws ever!! Definitely 5 stars for the lifeguards Bar restaurant food is ok. We have been going out for food after trying the bar on the 1st day. Its not bad but seems processed and limited options for the price. We would definitely book again.

Friendly staff and well looked after venue. Stayed here with a friend who owns a caravan on the site. The pub is a little pricey but it is to be expected on a holiday park! The location is gorgeous. Not too far from places of interest but out of the way for some piece and quiet.

Went to sand -le-mere for a relaxing week itβs the first time we had visited but weβll worth it. Firstly the girl on reception with ginger hair was quite rude. As soon as she saw me she said you canβt check in till two or 4 oβclock but it was 230 and Motohomeβs can check in at 12 oβclock she didnβt even ask but apart from that the place was nice and clean everybody else was friendly the food was lovely and although it was late in season there was still stuff going on I have a very large swimming pool and ice childrenβs park and on the camping field we had an en suite which was a bit of a novelty but something different it was nice and clean and also there was a heater in there which I think was a very good idea camping places should have more of these we had a lovely time and really enjoyed ourselves will be back

The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. However the site felt unwelcoming. The shop is tiny, the amusements room was also quite small for a big site. The swimming pool was only open for non owners of caravans btwn 2pm -4.30pm. The restaurant (although given 5*) was poor. The cutlery was dirty and the food of poor quality. We only ate there once due to poor value for money and concerns of hygiene having seen dried food stuck on supposedly clean cutlery. The supply of a broom or vacuum would have been beneficial in the caravan. On entering the caravan, small pieces of glass were found on the floor and marks from previously washed cups/glasses were found on the draining board. Although we do not have small children so it didn't affect us, we couldn't help but notice the lack of outside play areas for children (swings, slides etc). We only saw one which was poor). I would not return to this site.

We private rented a caravan at sand le mere the caravan was beautiful. However the entertainment on an evening was very poor to say the least. Karaoke and a quiz not what you go on holiday for in my opinion. The food was very nice however the level of cleanliness and hygiene in the restaurant was very poor there was a pile of food on the floor for 2 days. Crumpled up children's menus on the floor for our whole 4 night stay. Tables not cleared and wiped down. Bar staff stood in the kitchen area not serving all.in all not a good impression
