    Update 12/2/25: Following my review of 3/2/25, I have had no response from PT Miles, not even an acknowledgement of my written complaint which was sent by email to an email address provided by themselves! 3/2/25 Poor customer service in my experience, poor communication and record keeping and they gave me back a watch that wasn't mine..... I chased up my watch repair after hearing nothing for a month. I was originally told that it needed a new mechanism. I was then told that the Goldsmith could not source a mechanism but had cleaned the original mechanism and my watch was now working and had been ready to collect for weeks but they hadn't let me know. They put it down to them having a new phone and their records not being updated. I was just pleased my watch was working as it was my late mother's watch. I went to collect my watch, handed my receipt over and was given a watch BUT it wasn't my watch. They couldn't tell me where my watch was and said it must be a mix up at the Goldsmiths. Eventually, after a very upsetting 10 minutes or so, it was found. My watch hadn't been fixed and was still broken. I asked to speak to the owner, but I was refused despite him being upstairs in the shop. I left the shop without any satisfactory explanation. I sent a text to request an explanation of what had happened. The text I received back said they were too busy to investigate and that I had to put my grievance in writing before they would even look into it. I returned to the shop to speak to them about their disappointing response. I was told the owner had instigated the text so I again asked to speak to him and was again refused despite him being upstairs. I was told he was too busy dealing with other customers. I am sure when everything goes well, customer service is excellent but sadly in my case customer service was very poor and they showed a distinct lack of care and responsibility. Mistakes do happen but it's how mistakes are dealt with that speaks volumes. I have now put my grievance in writing as they have refused to look into it until I do; and will await their response.

    Disappointed !! Had ring resized ? Should have been 1 size larger but feels the same as before I had the job done. Tried on in store but with hand’s being hot it was a little snug. Tried on again today but still couldn’t get it to fit properly. Also was quoted £20 for repair but when it came back it was £33. If I could give NO STARS I would. Definitely won’t be going back. Dissatisfied customer !!!

    Excellent customer service from the two ladies front of house, they are really polite and knowledgeable. Having tried several other jewellers in Newcastle I finally stumbled into PT Miles. Where everyone else had said they didn't have the skill set to change the straps on two unusual watches, the ladies explained that they would do their best and too pop back in in 30 mins. True to their word after returning 30 mins later both watches were ready and waiting for me! While I was in there I also noticed how everyone else was smiling and enjoying the experience too. From now on PT Miles is now my go to jeweller and I can not recommend this shop enough

    Took a ladies fob watch for cleaning and a service and was told by their watch ‘expert’ that it wasn’t worth bothering with. However, on visiting a reputable watch and clock repairers was told that it was a good quality Swiss watch circa 1880, valuable and worth servicing. Won’t be rushing back to PT Miles in a hurry In reply to your response, firstly the watch didn’t require repair and secondly my issue was how the lady behind the counter was so dismissive saying ‘it’s not worth bothering with’. If she had conveyed to me the problem with regards to parts and guarantee mentioned in your response to my post I would have understood but I just feel that I was just brushed aside with no explanation. Correct me if I am wrong but you do seem to state that you have a watch expert.
