Small but a beautiful interesting place. A little museum showing the pottery over the years. A lovely shop. Great to see an original bottle oven.
Wonderful museum and retail space. If you're interested in Moorcroft, then it's well worth the visit. If you're a collector, then you will love it. The museum has so much history on display. We were fascinated with what we saw and read. If buying, you need deep pockets. This is beautiful ceramic ware.
We took the Factory tour which was very informative and interesting. At each stage we met the people doing their part of the creating which was fascinating. Then we came back to the utterly stunning shop filled with very many beautiful pieces. Absolutely loved it.
If you can get on the tour of the factory- do it. It’s a brilliant tour, very informative and interesting, just when you think you know a fair deal about pottery- Moorcroft tell you of their ways! A lot of talent in this factory. The shop is beautiful, I could have spent a week just looking at the creations.
Really interesting and informative visit, our guides took us through all the stages and processes involved with making this extraordinary pottery. Practical demonstrations were arranged at each important stage of the production. There is a museum and a well stocked shop. Great! Advice for other local visits given. Thanks
Went on the factory tour only six people visiting so able to watch and talk to the highly skilled workers doing the painting and tube lining very interesting and now appreciate even more the work that goes into the process
Such a wonderful place. There's quite a large car park, right next to the entrance. When we visited on a Friday afternoon, we were the only ones present. There's a small museum, detailing the history of Moorcroft. There's also a bottle kiln to view and enter, as well as a large display of items for sale.
Fantastic place, waited 15yrs to make the journey and cant wait to go again .moorcroft fanciers Disney world .see for real what you have only seen in pictures. Even more beautiful in real life .staff so friendly and knowledgeable and helpful .
Moorcroft's Factory tour was one of the best during our pottery pilgrimage trip to Stoke. We had the most excellent guide (19th Oct). The tour was conducted with much details on the making of amazing pieces work of art.. We have done all the factory tours in Stoke, this remains the best and the must do for all. Two thumbs up for the everyone in Moorcroft Factory. Keep up the good work.
