My little girl literally runs in when I drop her off and she loves all the key workers. Would highly recommend and so glad I chose this nursery.”

“My son has been attending this nursery since he was 11 months old. The staff are very supportive and attentive and my son has a great relationship with all his keyworkers and other members of staff. They have a cook on site that cooks fresh tasty food every day and breakfast and snacks are provided. They have a lot or resources, books and toys indoors and a brilliant outside space with bikes, mud kitchen, little playground etc. I have seen my son flourish in the 2,5 years he has been there and I couldn't be happier with the service they provide. I would recommend this nursery to all parents.”

The staff are aways informative at the end of the day and also good at updating me throughout the day so I know what's happening with him. Im always comfortable, knowing that he's left in safe hands when I go to work.”

“This nursery has been great for my child and her devolpment. Have found the staff to always be polite, friendly and helpful and the overall facilities to be great. Since visiting it several times over the last year it has always been clean and tidy and plenty of activities for the kids to engage with. We get lots of updates on how our child is doing through the nursery app and it is great to see pictures of her smiling and being super happy. Ignore the bad reviews they seem to be indivdual cases filled with hate and not giving a true feel or account of the nursery as it is today. One review clearly seems to not have read his terms and conditions on sighn up and is bitter about having to pay a small sighn up fee.”

“My Son has attended St Francis for 2 years now and will be entering Year 9. To be honest this school is wonderful. ALL teachers encourage the children whether its academic, sports, music, theatre or Fair Trade. He has become a more compassionate boy because of the caring ethos the school believes in. Not many children say they love school, but my son is looking forward to the next year before he lives his dream as A Royal Marine.”

“I have been sending my son here since he was 6 months old. He is now 19 months old, so he has been here over a year now. He settled in really well, he has been happy there, he is involved in lots of activities e.g. messy play and water play. The staff send me pictures via whatsapp of all the fun activities he is involved with. The staff are lovely. Every time the girls open the door for us in the morning, we are greeted with a smile on their faces and a warm welcome for my son. The friendly staff put me at ease having my son there all day. Thanks to the service I am able to go to my job for the full day knowing he is safe and well looked after. I have never had a bad experience with the staff. They are always kind and friendly, well trained staff, which makes the world of difference when sending your child to nursery! He also has a dedicated key worker who keeps me up to date and we have occasional parents evenings. The opening hours are excellent, the full day hours allow me to work the full day and pick him up in plenty of time. I also think the nursery fees are really affordable compared to others! The manager is super friendly, whenever I have had a phone call with her, she is super polite and kind. The days are also flexible, so if I need to swap nursery days due to a change in working days, they are very good at accommodating this. The nursery also offers wraparound care which I've applied for my older son when he starts school. There's also a holiday club which allows me to work during school holidays. They always give me a handover on collection about his day. They have been excellent. Thank you so much LaughNLearn.”

“Most of the teachers are great and some of the kids are annoying as all kids are, but most are not trouble makers. The staff are supportive and do their best for their pupils. The negative reviews are probably from drop outs, you can see that from their spelling and grammar, or parents who just can't accept that their children need to stop misbehaving, pay attention, and get on with their work both in and outside of school.”

“Coming across these reviews, I have to admit I am incredibly surprised. KEHS is honestly one of the best schools I know, and I am incredibly fortunate to be able to say I am a student there. I saw quite a few reviews saying that parents who aren't rich shouldn't send their children here, but over 25% of pupils at the school are helped in some way by funding from bursaries or scholarships. As someone who took the test in Y7, having come from an inner-city state primary school, I have NEVER been made to feel like I didn't belong at the school, and the financial support (which lasts from Y7 through to Y13), has been nothing short of incredible. The school doesn't "aim to take your money", it's quite the opposite, and they are extremely transparent with increases of fees . As well as two counsellors (available free of charge to any pupil who asks for help, which can also be done anonymously), there are always teachers available, who care MORE about your mental health and wellbeing than what grades will be on a piece of paper after public exams. Before sitting my GCSEs, Mrs Clark spoke to our year and explicitly said, "To me, it's more important that whatever you get in these exams is a true reflection of all the hard work I know you put in". I don't think this is a headmistress who only delivers "lip service". I have never personally felt pressured to "perform" during any End of Year Examinations or public ones, and I can safely say that although there are of course teachers who may be seen to be "putting pressure" on girls, the vast majority of them don't do this purposefully or maliciously. I think, from personal experience, the pressure felt is a result of a small group of girls, or even one, talking about their fears and worries, which sets other girls off, and can spread like a wildfire. It easily becomes a culture of "X did 3 hours of History homework last night, so now I need to do 4". This toxic behaviour is in no way endorsed by teachers, and, especially during exam season, they try to quash this type of rising angst. Teachers at KEHS are one-of-a-kind; everyone will have their favourites, or teachers they feel most comfortable talking to, and whichever teacher you decide to talk to about an issue will be extremely sensitive and considerate when advising you on what to do next. It's safe to say they go above and beyond, which I've had many experiences of. Where else can you go where a teacher will spend their lunchtime sitting and eating with you because of your relationship with food, or where you are able to have a year group discussion with the Headmistress about things that need to be changed in the school, or where teachers allow you to email them over the weekend for help with a question? Over the years, there have been problems with the amount of homework given, however in the last few years I've seen this more than resolved. Teachers are not allowed to give homework that has to be in for the next day, which teachers will not do unless agreed by the WHOLE class.Generally, teachers are very flexible when it comes to homework deadlines, providing you talk to them in advance. There are also meetings set up for pupils with their Form Teachers or members of Senior Leadership to discuss things such as pupil wellbeing, homework, and general happiness at school. I think it's a lot easier to complain about all the ways in which something is bad, than to take a moment to reflect on what is good, and KEHS is more than just a GOOD school. A great example of this is the end of my GCSE period, when girls in my year were deciding where to go for Sixth Form. The majority of the year decided they were leaving because "it's rubbish here", "it's too expensive", "I just want to chill", but here we are, further down the line, only a handful of people in my year left, and for a brief period of time those people stopped complaining. They all thought KE was bad, so decided to look elsewhere, but when they didn't find anything better, they stayed, and realised it wasn't actually bad.”
