“I can’t recommend MBA enough! I first went to them with an electronic issue on my car, which they sorted quickly. While I was there, I mentioned I was interested in Apple CarPlay, and they managed to install it on the spot for a very competitive price. Later on, I had a problem with my headlight. They fixed it, and when a small issue remained, I went back and they resolved it immediately and free of charge. They’re extremely helpful, fairly priced, and I genuinely recommend them to anyone with electrical problems on a Mercedes.”

The front suspension of my (low mileage) Volvo XC60 suddenly & dramatically decided that it could no longer cope with the demands of a pensioner driving around the roads of Lichfield . . . This left me stranded in a village with no bus service. My usual garage was sympathetic but, being fully booked, suggested PJS Autos on Crossfield Road. They responded to my situation, fitted me in within a few days and repaired the car at a cost less than a Volvo dealer wanted for the parts alone. Nice people to deal with as well!”

Can have many chats about vans, motorbikes and rock music festivals whilst he’ll work on your vehicle if you’re keen to hang about and he’ll even explain and show you what he’s doing and point stuff out before it goes wrong too. His friendly wife will always offer a drink and a chat if she’s not too busy with the paperwork too, which is a bonus. Just a real shame he doesn’t work on vw t5 2.5 engines. He’ll gladly service and MOT them or do things like track rod end and anti roll bar links etc though.”

“Spot on Job! First time using Carsmetic. Popped over for a quick estimate and I was greeted by Stuart, very friendly and nice bloke. We had a chat about what I wanted doing which was, front bumper full respray, bonnet fixing and painting and blending it all in. He gave me a reasonable price to do the work and booked me in. Over the few days he had my car he kept me updated with the progress, I really appreciated being kept in the loop. Then gave me a phone call when it was all finished. When I went there to pick my car up I could see straight away the great job he had accomplished. Came out and had a chat and I couldn’t be more happy. Everything is blended in amazingly, could never tell the bumper was black before I took it to him. Will definitely be recommending and coming back in the future!”

I was contacted promptly by very friendly lady, who arranged pick up of my car and courtesy car delivery which happened within a week, the gentleman who did pick up/ drop off was fantastic too ( called me in a morning to tell me what time he will come, showed me and explained everything about courtesy car), I was kept updated about progress of repair and it was fixed very quickly! “Got recommended to use this garage, read the reviews and thought why not. I have owned an Audi tt mk1 for a few years and have had problems from the day I bought it instrument cluster/ chattering non starting, battery draining when I left for a few days standard for the Mk1. Spent hundreds on it various auto electricians sent off the cluster came back no faults spent hours myself trying to resolve to no avail. Booked in with Vagcar Ade said leave it with Steve he knows what he’s doing, he asked for some details had a look at it and said straight away instrument cluster I was a little sceptical has I had it checked and it came back from testing no faults. Anyway Steve started his checks and I left it with him awaiting his findings,, I called in a week later to see how he was getting on he informed me sourced a set of second hand clocks changed. them and had put the battery on test awaiting to see if we had battery draining 4 days later no issues, I was a little concerned about having second hand clocks but Ade reassured me any problems to bring it back and he would sort it, he asked if I had had it remapped saying it would deliver better fuel economy and it would drive a little quicker, boy was he right if it wasn’t quick enough glad I listened Steve. I have left it a couple of weeks before I have wrote my review to see if the battery would hold out and the clocks not to play up what a relief when I turned the key and took it for a spin I have not been able to do that for years. Top marks to Steve and Ade for sorting the car for me I was about to give up and sell it, it drives like a dream and no dodgy clocks and flashing dash pod. Cheers lads”
