“I have been using this Co-Operative store ever since it opened and it is a little gem of a place. I've noted a few comments about poor staff, and yes I've experienced one sad lady. BUT the guys there are really great and today I was served by a new face - a happy older lady who was chatty and helpful. Yes - it can get busy. Well it is popular isn't it?! There are at least 2 serve yourself checkouts when paying by card so that for me makes a minimum of 3 checkouts, which for a store this size is very good. Parking? What parking? I'm local and walk 15 mins each way. Now that the pharmacy has moved onto this site, of course it is busier and I believe that there are plans to raise all the buildings up by 20'0" (approx 6.5 m) to allow more parking spaces. :-) Until that happens, or our cars can hover above the roof, there is some parking around the back and you can still park behind the doctors/old pharmacy or even on Darbys Hill and walk for a minute. Some local shops are dire and even dingy. Some, including this one, I believe have suffered at the hands of blatant thieves who do nothing but make these shops less viable. I like the Co-Op stores and their ethics and appreciate not only that it is here, but overall, it is very good ! :-)”
