University of Glasgow Sport Stevenson Building
“I was a member of the University of Glasgow Sports Centre for about two years, and looking back, I genuinely appreciate how lucky we were to train there. While there were areas that could use refurbishment – such as the male changing rooms on the 3rd floor and occasional issues with the sauna and steam room – the overall offering was nothing short of world class. The gym featured ELEIKO plates, proper strength training equipment, and an incredible 14 or so squat platforms. Yes – that many, and all of them from ESP. That alone puts it far above most commercial gyms. And all of this was available at a fraction of the price you'd pay elsewhere. In London or the surrounding areas, you'd need to shell out around £250 per month at a place like David Lloyd to get access to similar facilities – if you can find them at all. So to any students, staff, or members of the public currently training there: make the most of it. The University of Glasgow Sports Centre is a serious facility, and you may not realise how special it is until you move away.”
