“Great location, close to the train station, and in a central location. Beautiful view no matter which side you're on (we were facing the southwest. The room was very clean and spacious. Our only complaint is that there was no shower hose, which makes it difficult to thoroughly rinse. The shower had one of those gentle "rain" heads that can't be adjusted at all. The complimentary breakfast buffet was decent, as was the service at the front desk. If we visit York again, we would choose this hotel again. It was here that we learned that the British "How are you?" is actually "Are you alright?" and we thought the front desk employee was concerned with something about us (I checked to see if we had forgotten to get dressed...) :)”

“Incredible takeaway! Food is cooked to order and is perfection, packed full of taste and flavour. Quick turnaround and ran by a super friendly owner. There’s lots of info on arrival about paying cash and latest pricing so customers have all the info to make a choice - it’s a really hard time with cost of living for everyone, totally supportive and faultless communication. We’ll definitely be back, it’s the best takeaway we’ve had in York!”
