“My son has been at the school for over 6 years and we are extremely happy with our decision. The small classes allow the teachers to work through the syllabus swiftly and efficiently - I am amazed at the knowledge they bring home even at age 4! On my visits to the school I always notice that security is taken very seriously which reassures me greatly. I am struck by how every teacher seems to know virtually every child by name even though the school has children 3-16years. The other thing I absolutely love is how supportive and friendly the other parents are. It’s like having a huge extended family. We even help each other out with childcare from time to time. The fees are less than I was paying his nursery so definitely brilliant value for all the benefit it brings to his life. He is definitely living his best life at Tower College and we feel it’s the best gift we could have given him.❤️”

Steve who works in the disability department showed me that the college now shows full support. I don't see why people really have a problem with the college. But i think, you should start your gcse's at this college due to its, perfect staff and expectations. 10/10 highly recommend. Great work and keep it up.”

“I am a catering and hospitality student based in Cheshire College South and West. I can not begin to say how much of a positive impact the tutors as well as the college itself have had on my life style, my education and who I am. I struggle a lot from day to day life, however, this place has been a place for me to feel like I belong. It's been a place where I can feel I can escape to. The tutors are witty and charming, as well as helpful and serious when needs be. They make lessons easy to understand, and always find a way to help you 1 to 1 when you need it. I couldn't recommend this college more to a teen fresh out of highschool, or even just to someone looking to earn another qualification. This place has the power to change lives. I know first hand. ♡”

“Good college with helpfull staff.”

“I attended this college myself during my late teenage years. (I first started there when I was 17 and finished when I was 20.) I did the courses in animal management, much of which I enjoyed, although the college also teaches equine and football courses too. The cafe on site is where the students go during breaks (as there is no common room), and that's great too. The prices are reasonable, the food quality is very good and the staff who work there are very nice too. There were several different subjects in the courses I did, including course tutorial, key skills (English language, maths and IT), animal behavior, vet nursing, animal welfare, safe use of vet medications, anatomy & physiology and zoo health. I asked the staff about a cat we owned at the time, why the cat was doing a squeaky purr. I was told by different people that it could have been the way he was holding his head, or that his vocal cords were worn, but it was nothing to worry about, unless he was having problems breathing, which he thankfully wasn't. I also received a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder while I was there, and many a time, people understood it well, as well as my diagnosis of epilepsy, especially the special needs support staff. They are very good at safeguarding students, including letting people go earlier later in the year, since it gets dark earlier, the first-aid staff there are well trained, and there's also a zero tolerance for bullying, which is 100% followed through on. It's also next to the Deysbrook Tesco branch, so good for if you need to stop on your way out for any home supplies. At the end of my time there, the staff also did an awards evening, and a party for the people finishing their final year, plus we all received an individual certificate for who we were as people. (I carried a lot of supplies with me at the time, and so was given the award for, 'the student most likely to have any kind of equipment required'). I also like drawing, and decided to do some animal pictures to decorate the animal center a bit, since the walls of the rooms were quite plain. The animal technician put them up all over the place, which made the area look a bit nicer. There were a few problems though. One teacher I had would call on people constantly, despite me asking her not to, and she then had the cheek to complain when I did speak up in class. Another teacher I had was very pushy, at one time forcing me to redo one assignment 7 times! The worst part, was one of the football teachers making a highly inappropriate comment, telling one of the football students to 'stop flirting', when he was just being nice. I screamed at the teacher for what he did, and after that, pretty much everyone in the college changed their ways around me. All in all, a very good college, so can't complain.”

“Having been recommended Winstanley College by a friend whose two children attended and left recently both with an A/A/A* we recently attended the open day with our Son. It was absolutely incredible. Such an amazing campus with the distinctive feel of a small university. The staff were all so welcoming, kind and enthusiastic. What impressed us most was all the student ambassadors there on the day. Overwhelmingly they were so polite and confident. They really couldn’t speak highly enough about the college. Clearly a really special place.”

“Have been looking for a place for my son who was home educated to attend. This is a highly talked about college. Visited recently and Tamara showed us around. She was amazing and answered all of our questions. Lovely. We then went to the recent event to sign up for a course / do an interview and my lad was accepted for their brilliant Aspire programme. He was at Welcomefest yesterday and loved it. He’s made friends finally for the first time in years. I am super proud of him and am delighted in the helpful manner all staff have been with both of us and how they have agreed to put so many things in place for my son who has additional complex needs. Every staff member and student we’ve come across to date has been extremely pleasant. Thank you.”
