“Visited today for my mums birthday - we booked last minute after a change of plans. We had 3 courses and every single one was delicious. Highly recommend the Sunday roast and the sticky toffee! The service was great - special thanks to the two young guys (I didn’t catch their names but a really young lad and the barman with plaits) for looking after us. We will be back!”

“Dropped by on a Friday evening and enjoyed an excellent meal, served promptly by friendly staff. Our dog was welcomed, toilet facilities were clean and well maintained and there was plenty of space to find a quiet corner. Only drawback is the limited parking locally.”

“Had a great experience at the Wetherspoon in Watford. The ambience was really nice — welcoming and relaxed, perfect for a casual outing. The food was good and reasonably priced, living up to the Wetherspoon standard. The place was clean throughout, and the washrooms were surprisingly well maintained, which isn’t always the case in busy pubs. Overall, the place is aesthetically pleasing and well looked after. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!”

“Our family booked The Hammer In Hand for a wake yesterday. Staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Prices were extremely reasonable and the food served was fresh with a great variety of rolls. The whole day was made so much easier with the great service we received from everyone there. Thank you. I could not recommend this place highly enough.”
