“My child was assessed by Dr Bharat and diagnosed with asd. He was kind and compassionate under such emotional times. The whole process has taken 2yrs and 11 months. Overall a positive experience despite lockdown waiting times and other unforseen circumstances. Now we will be prepared for the future! I would like to show my gratitude. Thank you team cdc.”

    The Child Development Centre

“My son attended the Child Development Centre after we had exhausted all other avenues through the NHS and essentially got nowhere. I am not disparaging the NHS, I think they are marvellous but they do not have the time or resources to fully help our children the way they need help in these circumstances. We had the Centre recommended to us and it has really changed our lives. The relief that someone was finally making sense of our son's behaviour and difficulties that he was having was immense. He would jump and scream at unexpected noises, he would hate any labels in clothes, he would zoom around the house causing mayhem (not deliberately, quite the opposite he was very happy), but we did fear he had ADHD. He was like Tigger from Winnie the Poo, bouncing around everywhere! His concentration was very poor, he was very silly and immature for his age, he wasn't able to sit and watch a DVD, read a book or play with one toy or game for any period of time, he would get bored very easily and be off to play with another toy or game. From a very young age he would have obsessions - firstly the Fire Service and he would not anywhere unless in a full fireman's uniform with a utility belt, he was 4 yrs old at this stage and then it changed to the Police (5yrs old) and then the Army (8yrs old) with each obsession taking over all of our lives in one way or another. One fact we did find interesting was that Dyspraxia often gets misdiagnosed as ADHD. He was diagnosed as having Dyspraxia traits and audio dyslexia. We received a very detailed report which made so much sense in terms of why he was behaving the way he was, but more importantly we started the programme that would definitely change all of our lives for the better. The programme is not a quick fix solution. You need to be dedicated and understand there will be times when it is frustrating and it seems you are making no progress then other times when it accelerate and the changes are amazing. Most people comment that he is like a different boy now and he really is. Once we were able to get rid of the reflexes he had retained the changes became really noticeable. He is so much calmer now, he can concentrate - he reads so many books now which we are delighted at! The screaming when he's startled has stopped and he's even more tolerant to labels! In the beginning we did the on-line checklist on the website and ticked far too many! However, I would highly recommend doing this as it give you a really good idea on whether there is a problem there that needs solving. My husband and I had the conversation about the cost of the treatment and I remember him saying 'this could be the best money we've ever spent' and he was absolutely right, it was. I would highly recommend going for an initial assessment to find out all about it. We originally met David and then Alex continued all of the appointments and treatments with our son. He is excellent with children, very professional with a firm but easy-going manner. If you decide to do it, follow all of the instructions, they really do know what they are talking about and you will get better results by following them to the letter. The programmes are medication free which I loved, this is a totally natural way to help your child be the best they can be!”

“Dear all, I would like to take the opportunity to review the above centre. I visited the centre twice over two months. Visited two different departments. Physio and the mental health assessment. I am so pleased with all the staff members at the reception, the Dr and the physio. They are very professional people. They assisted me with all that I and my children needed. Explained every aspect of the care and involved me and the children in every decision in care planning for my children, on both occasions. They were calm and very patient with my children. They answered all my and my children's questions.. I found them to be very humble and respectful towards our needs. Thank you to all the team for running this centre and recognising the different needs of different patients individually.”

“My son has been attending Therapy4Kids for a number of years and we’ve got to know the team really well over the years, particularly the OT and SLT team. My son currently has OT with Sarah. Sarah is a very warm, approachable, knowledgeable and encouraging therapist & my son really enjoys his weekly therapy sessions with her. He has also massively grown in confidence and made huge improvements thanks to the time he has spent with Sarah. My son also used to see Jessica from the SLT team who helped him tremendously and he remains very fond of her. We are very grateful to the team at Therapy4Kids and couldn’t recommend them enough.”

“Butterflies is an amazing pre-school. My daughter started just after turning 3 and she’s had the most wonderful year there. From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly warm and caring. She settled in so quickly and has looked forward to going on her days. The environment is nurturing, fun and full of thoughtful activities that have really helped her grow in confidence and independence. I honestly only wish I had sent her sooner. Thank you so much to the entire Butterflies team for giving her such a happy and enriching start to life.”

    THE ARK CHILDREN CENTRE

“I'm very happy with the Ark Children's Centre in Deptford. In 2018, I needed trustworthy childcare urgently and was really worried. My first provider closed and the following two, I was not too happy with. One day I came across a flyer for the Ark Children's Centre and went on to make an appointment. The nursery manager was very very personable, professional and took onboard my ambition for childcare for my young children (aged 2 and 1). I am pleased to have had my first two children go to the Ark until school age. Now in 2024, even though I have moved 12 miles away from the Ark, I enrolled my third child (1 year old) as childcare I can trust is very important to me. I will always recommend the Ark Children's Centre as a safe and friendly nursery environment for little bubbas, having had three children enrolled.”

    Goslings Nursery

“Lovely, friendly nursery - small but perfectly formed! The setting is cosy but very calm and orderly, with lots of time spent outside engaged in play. The staff are warm and caring, know all the kids really well and really help the children to develop through play-based learning. My eldest child is the youngest in her school year, but we had no worries about her moving up from nursery thanks to all the phonics, maths, self-care and creative activities covered at Goslings. Because of the size, the kids get to mix with other age groups throughout the day (while still doing activities tailored by age) which in my eyes is a real benefit, and the weekly music and Mandarin sessions are a nice bonus. Communication is good, and the nursery have been really helpful on a few occasions when we’ve had childcare emergencies requiring extra days. V happy all round!”

“Omg this was my most favourite school I went to. I was really sad when I had to move schools in December 2018 in year 6. The only problem was some classes were boring. Especially my maths teachers class whose name I forgot and mr Palmer. But mr Palmer was alright and a good enough teacher to be honest. And omg the end of term parties are AMAZING! My personal fav was the Christmas party before I left it was so fun. Not a big fan of some of the teachers here but the children are rlly nice. I do reccomend this school”

“Amazing nursery, my son Luca absolutely enjoyed his time here. He ate well, slept well and especially loved learning Spanish and dancing. It’s the special touches we liked the most, like the chicks at Easter, learning about different cultures and events. The garden space and even the bunny. Having loads of greenery around and the herb gardens were lovely to see too. The staff were always so warm and welcoming and Luca loved his key worker. The camera to check in on the kiddos was reassuring but anyway they were out in the garden having fun. I did wish they sent more photos of their daily activities but I know they can only do so much as their key focus is looking after our kids. Though just as we were leaving the nursery I did see they were posting more on their Facebook parent group. Lovely to see! I would recommend to anyone wanting to send their kid there.”
