“I bought sausage rolls and hot chocolate. The sausage roll was delicious. It’s the quickest breakfast and trustable before catching train to my office throughout the year.”

“Pleasantly surprised by the food, great taste, quality at a very reasonable price. It is more of a fast food place than a sit in restaurant, take away drivers walking too and fro. Perfect for spending my expenses.”

“Had a fantastic experience at the Essex Arms! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the drinks were excellent, and the overall service was top tier. A special shoutout to Dennis, who was absolutely brilliant behind the bar – super helpful, friendly, and really attentive. He made sure everyone was looked after and went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. It’s rare to come across such genuine customer service these days. Will definitely be returning and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great local pub with amazing staff!”

“Pretty much ever since this place opened we've been meaning to visit and just never really got round to it. Recently we popped in for a quick lunch during some christmas shopping and my main take home is how annoyed I was at waiting so long to visit! We had a bao and dirty fries meal (with a drink) each - both less than a tenner each and so so good. The bao were fluffy with clearly freshly made ingredients (i had the short rib and my partner the fried chicken), both with portions of dirty fries (i had katsu and she had the vietnamese). The portions of fries alone would have made a meal and were so good. If you want fantastic food, freshly cooked and served quickly, at reasonable prices then I can't recommend this place more. My partner said she was really disappointed that we don't live local enough for somewhere like this to be available on a delivery app. Personally i was quite glad it wasn't close enough as i think we'd end up ordering from them several times a week1”

“Good place for takeaways. Food tasty and not expensive. Quality good for the price. Tom Yum soup slightly too sweet for my liking but overall tasty with seafood and mushrooms. Singapore rice very nice. Will order again!”

“We spent a Friday evening here starting with axe throwing before going onto pool and then shuffle board. All of the staff were really friendly but one person in particular stood out - James. He is exceptional and helped ensure we had a really good time. He brings a lot of energy to the role and nothing was too much trouble. I think James in particular deserves some company recognition as he's an asset to the team. Great night and I highly recommend.”
