    Parents Paradise Children's Play Centre

    ★★★★☆ 4.6

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Stars It was my first time visiting Softplay with my 15-month-old, and I was pleasantly surprised! The area was spacious, clean, and not overcrowded at all. I loved that they had separate sections for different age groups — including a special area just for little ones up to 18 months. Everything was well supervised. One of the staff members was especially attentive, always making sure the older kids didn’t wander into the baby area and that everyone followed the rules. It made the experience feel very safe and respectful for everyone. The whole place was spotless, the vibe was great, and even the food was good! I also really appreciated that we didn’t need to pre-book — we just walked in, and for the whole family, it was only £11.50 for a two-hour slot, which is amazing value. Overall, it was a wonderful experience — clean, well-organized, and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!”

The Pump House Theatre and Arts Centre

    ★★★★☆ 4.6

“In a town where culture, the arts and music has been allowed to dwindle for the best part of 15 years, the Pump House is an absolutely vital part of the local arts and music scene. It provides an essential space for music and theatre in a way no other venue now does in Watford. From amateur theatre and kids theatre groups, to live music of all sorts, Watford would be artistically poorer without the Pump House. It should be supported and protected at all costs.”

“I have been delighted with each visit to my dentist Aliya Nazerali. I am a “nervous” patient but she always puts me at ease and is extremely considerate whatever my treatment. I’ve had a crown and a new veneer and the level of expertise, knowledge and kindness in the chair has been second to none. I’m so delighted with my treatment that when my son wanted teeth whitening my only caveat was he had to see Aliya!! Trust is so important.”

“Gymboree has helped a lot in improving my son’s social skill, and he enjoys so much in playing with the staff and other kids. I really appreciate their efforts in providing a good chance for children to learn and play. I have recommended Gymboree to my friends who also have kids and looking for a place to play. The time my son playing in Gymboree is undoubtedly the happiest time after we moved to this area.”

    Edge Grove School

    ★★★★☆ 4.4
    Closed

“Our daughter (now in year 8) has been at Edge Grove since year 6 having spent all her previous schooling in the French system. We joined the school at a time when the new headmaster, Me Evans, was still putting in place his vision, but we felt that he knew exactly what he was wanting to do, and we completely bought into that vision. We have not been disappointed. The pastoral care has been first rate, particularly helping our daughter in the transition to a British Independent school. From what we have seen, any pastoral issues are dealt with speedily and sensitively. Great emphasis is put on politeness and creating the right environment for learning, whilst enjoying everything that the school has to offer. The education curriculum is innovative, supportive and stretching, and the school is doing a fantastic job of supporting all year 8 pupils in preparation for CE, truly differentiating based on the schools they are applying to and the exams they will be taking. Extra-curriculum activities are great too - the Director of Music is fantastic and the improvement in the quality of all school music activities has been marked, while the head of girls' games is really raising the bar too. Staff go beyond what one might expect and respond rapidly and helpfully to any questions or concerns. The parent community is friendly and welcoming. The school certainly deserves its recent rating of Excellent in all regards from the Independent Schools Inspection. I highly recommend the school to any prospective parent.”

“We hired this hall for the Mendhi as part of my daughter's pre-wedding celebration. The hall accommodated all the people invited and can cater for 170-180 people. The charges are extremely reasonable and communication with the team at the centre is exceptional. In particular Johanna and Paul were very accommodating. I cannot thank them enough.”

“Lovely restaurant in a very nice location. The food is amazing, cooked on the location and served by the future chefs of the country. They create their own daily menu, serve mouthwatering food and provide an impeccable service. The experience starts at the entrance with a very warm welcome and just flows through naturally during the three course dining experience. The place is popular and booked weeks in advance, so please call ahead. They also do lovely activities like chocolate classes, cake making and cake decoration- which are also highly recommended.”

My super shy little girl thoroughly enjoyed it and an extra special plug required for her unbelievable singing voice. Think I feel just as in awe as my 5 year old! Can't recommend enough. x”

““Inspiring our children and community to be the very best that they can be!” As a Trustee I feel really privileged and proud to be involved in this journey. “Inclusive” is not only our name but core to everything we do to help our community fulfil the hopes and dreams of our children. Every day our 3 Watford primary schools – Beechfield, Cherry Tree and Laurance Haines work closely together to create great opportunities which inspire our pupils to learn and develop skills to adapt and succeed in our ever changing world. Each school is very much a part of the local community with its own distinct characteristics and curriculum –we don’t believe that one size fits all but a nurturing philosophy underlines everything we do. As part of a group of schools we provide opportunities for our children to participate and share in exciting projects across the schools – whether sporting, outdoors or creative - for example our art display in Watford Museum or the more recent song written and performed to celebrate and thank Covid-19 key workers. Supporting our people to succeed is a core belief and strength – we are lucky to include former pupils among our teaching staff! Working together enables the sharing and development of best practice whilst addressing workload too. Good career progression is available across the Trust schools. “if you want to go fast, go alone. My little one has been there nearly 2 years and has learnt so much and and picked up many new things that probably I couldn’t have teached her at home. She has made friends with all the staff and the children there. She loved the preschool and the place is very full of different activities for the children to do.”

“Little Hearts Preschool is absolutely outstanding! Within just a few weeks, I noticed a huge positive change in my son’s confidence, happiness, and manners — he genuinely looks forward to going every day. The staff are professional, caring, and go above and beyond to create a warm, supportive environment. Having previously used local childminders, I can honestly say that the level of care, structure, and learning opportunities at Little Hearts are on a completely different standard. The environment is nurturing, stimulating, and well-organised, and the staff are well-mannered, highly trained and genuinely care about each child’s individual needs and progress. I also love that they use the Tapestry app to share updates and photos — it gives parents real peace of mind. The difference compared to childminders settings is remarkable. My only regret is not sending my older son here. The Little Hearts team is simply outstanding, and I’m so grateful for the support, care, and encouragement they have given my child — truly an amazing preschool!”
