“We have had our children at Dance Academy Sevenoaks for 2 years now and we’re so happy we signed up! My son (now 5) initially started in pre-school ballet and is now loving the Lil’ Beatz classes. My daughter is 2 and has started the Lil Beatz now. She is naturally quite a shy girl but watching her come out of her shell with Miss Emily and the student teachers every week it so lovely to see. I’ve loved seeing both of my children develop their confidence, coordination, and creativity through DA dance classes and the fact they love their classes makes Saturday mornings a treat. I wholeheartedly recommend Dance Academy Sevenoaks to any family looking for relaxed and fun dance classes for their children.”

“This school is the best I have ever attended in my many experiences at different schools around the world throughout my childhood. Each teacher makes an effort to develop a good relationship with each student and they all know our strengths and weaknesses and can ensure no student is left behind. The disciplinary system is again the best I have ever seen. The use of physical progress cards ensures that no good or bad behaviour goes unnoticed and there is zero tolerance policy on bullying. Kudos to Ms Maidment and Mr McCarthy for being awesome teachers.”

“I worked in this school today as a Supply Teacher. I was greeted by the 'front of house' personnel who showed me around the school and made me feel very welcome. A very professional but caring approach. I taught 5Maple for the morning and 2Fir in the afternoon. I found the students to be motivated and enthusiastic about their learning and respectful to me as a visiting teacher at their school. A credit to their teachers and the school. Thanks Yvonne Steel”

Ashmole provides amazing support to students of all talents and abilities and played a major part in my current career post sixth form. I would highly recommend Ashmole to any students looking to start secondary school or sixth form.”

    The Institute Of Psychosynthesis

“I did the Fundamentals and then moved on to do my MA with the Institute of Psychosynthesis, London. This has been my most life altering experience and i hope all those searching for more and meaning to life should give themselves this gift. It is a deeply evoking and moving experience. I have learnt what it means to come home to myself through a long journey with my tutors, facilitators and cohort members. They have A class facilitators who have 3 - 4 decades of experience in this field. So you will be in good hands. Good luck for those choosing to undertake this journey. See you on the other side.”

    Claremont High School

“As of writing this review, I'm a Year 12 student who's been in the school for almost six years, and I'm taking A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Computer Science and French. Thus, I feel I'm more experienced than most other reviewers to talk about the school. Firstly, let me say that this is no grammar or private school. Not everyone's parents have hundreds of thousands of pounds to send their children, and not everyone finds irrational joy in studying eight hours a day every day after school. Most people are just your average person, but for me, that's perfect. You'll get to know most of the people in your year, and perhaps in the years above and below you, too. Friendship groups form quickly and easily, and many are happy to accept other students. In the older years (Year 10 onwards), people start to socialise with others outside their friendship group, and I enjoy the social scene here. In my case, being able to talk to extremely talented people is an opportunity I wouldn't exchange for anything: I've grown attached to my friends as though they were family. And, while not everyone here is a four A*-type student, we certainly get those types: every year, we have students who get all A*s and go off to Oxford or Cambridge. If you aspire to be one of those students, don't write off Claremont just because you think you'll do better by going to another school! The teachers are also incredibly polite, for the most part. (Of course, there are teachers who the younger students would consider strict, but as you grow older, you'll see that it's just the different teaching personalities they adopt, and in reality, they aren't really that strict after all—your class were just really annoying!) They devote plenty of time and effort into ensuring every student succeeds academically and as a person. Their lessons are usually very well-planned, but their devotion to their students truly shines when one of them asks for help or discusses a topic with a teacher that they're both passionate about. This is especially helpful in the Sixth Form, where you'll often find yourself wanting to stimulate your own interest in the subject! Every week, we also hold competitions and clubs for all lower years, from sports to chess; we also have a few more unorthodox ones such as a cybersecurity/hacking club. The extracurricular scene is a bit lacking for the Sixth Form, though, but since you're allowed to leave when you don't have lessons, you probably won't need it. We have an active student body which includes a Prefect Team and a Student Voice, both of which allow students to suggest changes to improve the school. And while Claremont is by no means perfect, I thoroughly enjoy my time here, and I could not imagine having a better experience at any other school.”
