“My goodness this restaurant is incredible and delicious! We had a big party of 8 people and service was remarkable. Beautiful atmosphere and wide variety of menu options and lots of gluten free options! Alex took such great care of all of us and went out of his way to make sure all of my dishes were celiac friendly! I highly recommend this spot. The Patatas Bravas were particularly delicious! “A Truly Wonderful Stay – Even with a Rocky Start What a fantastic experience from start to finish—even though our trip began on a difficult note. My wife was injured on the way to The Bear, and we couldn’t have been met with more kindness and care. The staff went above and beyond, and Tracy was an absolute gem—warm, genuine, and made us feel like we were staying with friends rather than in a hotel. This stay really highlighted the contrast with one of the sister hotels we visited, which lacked the same warmth and charm. It’s our second time at The Bear—we stayed last year, and although my wife was initially hesitant about staying in a pub setting, she ended up loving it so much that it topped her list for this year’s trip. We noticed several subtle improvements since our last visit—small touches that really add up and elevate the overall experience. It’s clear that care and attention to detail are a priority here. If we had one minor complaint, it would be the limited parking, but it’s a small trade-off for such a welcoming and comfortable stay. Top rated—we’d love to return again.”
