    London Christian School

    ★★★★☆ 4.3
    Closed

“London Christian School feels like a caring community of families and teachers, rather than a school! The smaller size means everyone knows everyone, yet newcomers are warmly welcomed. Whilst there is naturally a strong Christian ethos, different religions are respected and embraced. Our children are in Years 5 and 3, have both been at the school since the age of four, and come home every day tired but elated! The teaching is excellent; strong academics are balanced with sport, music, extra-curricular activity and individual pastoral support where needed. The location is fantastic for anyone living in the “inner south east” London area or working around London Bridge or the City. The only limitation of LCS is that due to the central location, sports fields are not on-site. But they make the best possible use of the rooftop playground and the nearby council park and astroturf, with the older children heading out to the local facilities daily for a run around. If we go into any further lockdowns during 2021, LCS can be trusted to continue to deliver a fantastic educational experience; ensuring no child gets left behind whilst being realistic about what is possible in a home-schooling environment. In the meantime, it has been clear to us that the teachers and children alike are very excited to be back at school and are making the most of the time they spend together - having fun and building friendships, learning and exploring, and feeling part of their special school community once again. We cannot recommend LCS highly enough!”

St James Preparatory & Nursery School

    ★★★★☆ 4.3
    Closed

“St James is a school that fosters children's confidence, communication skills, and a love of learning. They do this through lot of drama, speech competitions, beautiful literature, philosophy classes, singing, and the school equivalent of positive parenting. A wonderful school that educates the whole child.”

“Great small independent girls school with a strong Catholic ethos. Girls aged, 2 years to 18 years, are well cared for and receive an excellent all-round education. This school caters well for high achievers but does not deselect underperforming pupils (as some schools do) girls are instead encouraged to achieve their potential. Extra curricular activities are fantastic - strong drama and music (with the most spectacular theatre). Full sized swimming pool. New all weather sports pitches.”

    West Ashtead Primary School

“My children study here. They love their school. Unlike their previous schools, they are very verbose about their new school experience. Quiet neighbourhood. Clean and encouraging atmosphere for learning. Great classroom ambience! The head teacher is very cooperative and is always available for parents to clarify their doubts and very supportive too! The teachers are amazing! Excellent pastoral care. Children come home with loads of information and ideas for homework. All sorts of extracurricular activities and fun. My kids love their new school. Better than many schools (public and private) in Surrey. Teachers are well trained and highly experienced. An outstanding primary school in Surrey. I feel proud of my kids' school and am greatly relaxed about their primary education. Highly recommended to other children in the locality.”

    Morning Star Educational Centre

“We've done extensive research since I got pregnant, went to visit so many nurseries in the area, morning star was the selected! Our son turned 1 and started nursery, he's only been with us and is breastfed. We expected him to struggle as he's only been with us, but the staff and manager were so reassuring! They helped us outline a suitable adaptation period welcomed our presence and made us feel part of the family since day one. The first day he was left alone we kept being updated with videos and pictures and reassuring honest messages. They informed me he was sleeping, followed by a really nice video of him peacefully sleeping, and videos of him interacting and playing! When we pick him up is clear that they care and he is happy! The best decision of our lives. Thanks everyone again”
